(Bottle 75 cl) Courtesy of IrishBoy. Beautiful, clear, warm, orangey brown with a creamy, light brown head leaving some lacework. Fat aroma of caramel and fruit. Medium body, sweetish, lightly burned caramel accents and a touch of hazelnuts. Very subdued bitterness. Quite lovely. 030407 Beerhunter111 (22550) - P´Castle, GERMANY - APR 17, 2015
Klare dunkel rötlichbraune Farbe, geringe beige Schaumkrone. Geruch nach überreifen roten Früchten, leicht alkoholisch, kräftig malzig. Geschmack nach sehr reifen roten Früchten, Karamell, alkoholisch, gut! Leighton (22329) - London, Greater London, ENGLAND - JAN 20, 2010
Tap at Blind Tiger. An interesting beer. As a Belgian strong ale, I was ready for the funky yeast character but the rich, malty sweetness caught me off guard, much like the improvised solos of the eponymous Jazz maestro might. Aroma is heavy and funky yeast, with hints of sweet, dark fruits. The flavor follows the funk initially, then gives way to a rich, malty backbone. A lot of brown sugar by my palette. A truly unique beer I would say. Rasmus40 (21991) - Beder, Aarhus, DENMARK - AUG 7, 2011

Dark amber color to mahogany. Aroma of malt and the esthers; ripe plums, maybe apricots. Good malt flavor, dry, but the body could be stronger, at the end it’s quite thin; flavors of caramel and sweet liquorice; good bitterness level. Not impressive, but professionally brewed anyway.
Bottle. Nice head with good duration. Color is amber. Aroma and taste are dark fruits, spices, malt, caramel and alcohol. harrisoni (19348) - Ashford, Kent, ENGLAND - AUG 30, 2015
Bottle from gbbf 2015 and drunk at home. Ester aroma dark brown malts some raisin. It’s a quad I guess. Up against the best of the Belgians it holds up pretty well a touch boozy . Decent dark fruits some sour dark cherry even. Dates and prunes. It’s decent . mcberko (18998) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - JAN 19, 2010

Burgundy colour. Chocolatey, raisiny aroma. Sweet flavour with slight toffee character. Brown sugar finish. Far too sweet and tastes filtered...has a slick body rather than a full one and lacks complexity.
Bottle. thanks to larsniclas for sharing. Amber color with an offwhite head. Malty vinous aroma with figs and some other fruits. Strong flavor, sweet fruitd, figd, malt, hops, vinous notes. Gives a warming feeling without letting too much alcohol show. Strong malty, finish.
