UPDATED: FEB 28, 2010 12 ounce bottle pours dark with a nice tan head. That’s the best part of it, though. Flavor is thin and mildly bitter, lacking complexity. Not so hot.

[email protected] grill in Sonora. Pours black/dark brown with foamy light brown head. Mellow roasted, chocolate, some dark fruit esters, licorice (from hops). Medium body, smooth texture

UPDATED: FEB 11, 2018 Roasted malts and chocolate on the nose. Pours with a decent head, little creamy. Roasted malt flavour, dark chocolate and a little nutty. Shame it’s not a tad creamier, but excellent stout for an autumn evening

Pours a deep chocolate brown with solid nitro thick tan head. Light roast aroma. Light chocolate-coffee flavor...quite dry. Notes: on nitro

Pours dark brown with tan head. Aroma of dark fruits, chocolate and vanilla. Taste is medium sweet, medium bitter and light sour.

drjoeng (1481) - SINGAPORE - JAN 12, 2018
5.6%ABV. Stout. Poured out black. 40ºSRM. Nose has aromas of cold sweet black coffee, plum jam, and overripe honey plums. Mouthfeel is light. Palate has flavors of roasted barley, charcoal, coffee and a light ume. Like many stouts and porters done today, it is difficult to tell the difference, not with this one. The malt palate is smoke, charcoal and black bread. Hop flavors are woody and earthy. Finish is clean with a charred wood bitter. Overall really good. I liked this so much I actually came back for a 2nd taste before rating this. Goes on Favorites List!

16/X/17 - 12Fl. Oz. bottle @ home - BB: n/a (2017-1790) Thanks to Erwin for sharing the bottle!

Clear red brown beer, big irregular creamy beige head, unstable, dissipates immediately. Aroma: very roasted, lots of chocolate, some vanilla even, bit malty, touch of coffee. MF: soft carbon, medium to light body. Taste: pretty sourish start, roasted malts, some cocoa powder, bit fruity, bitter touch. Aftertaste: pretty bitter, roasted, malty, dark chocolate, some coffee, more cocoa powder and dark chocolate, dry finish.

UPDATED: DEC 30, 2017 Can from Total Wine in Mountain View, CA. Aroma is roasted barley stew, woodsy things, cocoa. Taste is tangy, earthy roasted hoppiness. Very tangy and wet but also somehow dry. Reminded of an English Porter.

Rami Rami is drinking an Old No. 38 Stout by North Coast Brewing Company at Kamienica Hoża 41 Zboze, kawa, miod. Najgorsze dzisiaj. Lekkie, slodkie. Raczej ziew. Jesli miod jest z utlenienia, to swieze musi byc fajne... zero daty tu:(

ttutony (959) - Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA - NOV 12, 2017
Almost black with a tan nitro head. Smooth roasted malt with a slight slight sour twinge, a la Guinness. Hint of cocoa. Medium to full bodied. Nice take on the style.

DSG (15519) - Tel Aviv, ISRAEL - NOV 4, 2017
Bottle sample at a tasting at Tom L's place. Thanks Stas & Max. Dark brown. Roast, chocolate, nuts, some oxidation, sweetish, slightly bitterish finish, medium-bodied.
