June 2009. Clearish maroon with absolutely no head whatsoever. Very very sweet, without any hops to balance the malt. Not much of a finish. Pass. Papsoe (25062) - Frederiksberg, DENMARK - JUN 6, 2005
UPDATED: MAR 6, 2006 (Bottle 35,5 cl) Dark brown with a ruby-red hue. Nice ligh tbrown head that collapses rather quickly though. Clear and filtered. Dry, vinous nose. Complex, full notes of dried fruit and an oaky, wooden touch. Some sweetness with a dry, bitter finish - but far from the extreme. Incredibly solid and chewy beer - the kind you can enjoy sip by sip for hours almost. A lovely Barley Wine. 060605 madmitch76 (24980) - , Essex, ENGLAND - NOV 15, 2009
