From old tasting notes. Labeled as Ruedrich’s Red Seal Ale. Hazy Amber orange color. Big bubbly tan head. Mildly spicy hop aroma.msubtle fruity malt flavor that is complex without being overdone. Nice dry finish. Very flavorful. Thunderverb (62) - Visby, SWEDEN - JUN 17, 2017
Aroma of toasty malt and pine. Round malty taste with some tropical fruit. Really creamy foam. Alengrin (5428) - BELGIUM - JUN 17, 2017
An APA from North Coast, bought at De Caigny, though based on the name, I was actually expecting a red IPA... Anyway: tightly ’paper’ lacing, egg-white, dense and moussy head, remaining closed for a long time over an initially cristal clear, beautifully very pure amber coloured beer with deep orange hue. Dank and elegantly spicy aroma of wet cigarette tobacco, olive oil, pine resin, warm biscuit, toasted bread in the morning, dry grapefruit zest, marihuana, beech bark, barbecue spices, paprika, freshly cut red bell peppers, dried wormwood leaves, tonic water, roasted pine nuts. Clean onset, some sbuduedly sweetish dried mango, green banana and unripe nectarine notes surrounded by a dim, generic sourishness and a vague green olive-like umami touch, medium carbonation with minerally effects, supple, slick and oily mouthfeel. Nice biscuity malt sweetishness deep below, quickly gaining a nutty and mildly toasted edge, matching with the increasing spicy, leafy and ’dried citrus peel’-like, bit resiny hop bitterness, releasing piney and restrainedly grapefruity aromas retronasally; long hop bitter finish but not overly aromatic and leaving enough room for the soft biscuity malt sweetness to pass through, this indeed finishes like any decent American style pale ale should. To the point, nothing extreme going on here from an American craft beer perspective, but classy and noble, like all of North Coast’s products; this brewery may seem a bit obsolete in view of everything that happened after its foundation in 1988, when only two hundred breweries were active in the entire United States, but they still deliver state-of-the-art examples of - now - classic American styles; this is a brewery whose beers I would recommend to any upcoming European beer afficionado as an initiation to American beer culture, the cradle of the current global craft beer movement. Decent, thoroughly enjoyable, quenching, adequately showcasing American hoppiness without overdoing it and merging into IPA territory: this may not be the most exciting APA around, but it is as exemplary as it gets. krittenhouse (24) - Shelby, USA - JUN 13, 2017
I ordered this today at Melt bar and Grill. I very much enjoyed the fact that this beer came as a nitro pour. I am very much enjoying the fact that the flavor is becoming better as I let it warm up just a bit.

Definitely a well balanced brew. Easy drinking but still enough flavor to satisfy. Not too hoppy but there is enough bite to keep the nice malt profile in check. A little bit spicy.Mouthfeel is light to medium. Worth buying again. colui72 (1053) - HONG KONG - JUN 3, 2017
Reddish amber, clear, fizzy with a medium white head and sticky lacing. Aroma is delicate hoppy notes of citrus and herbs. Not the classic pale ale, here it gets lot of caramel malty body similar to an English bitter, with notes of citrus and spices. Well balanced between sweetness and bitterness. Crisp and light bodied, thin feel, average carbonation, bitter finish. Not bad, more English than American, though. SvanteL (569) - SWEDEN - JUN 2, 2017
User452967 (99) - - MAY 24, 2017
Quite nice heavy aroma. Looks good, could have been more red. Tastes malts and hops. Overall a pleasant Red Ale. Turtles (2726) - Stockholm, SWEDEN - APR 28, 2017
