3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
12 oz bottle into a footed pilsner glass.
A: Pours a straw color that isn’t completely opaque. The head features a nice layering of foam, about three fingers high in total. Texture-wise, it’s bubbly and rocky, typical of the style.
S: There are a decent amount of grassy hops here, along with a touch of fruity esters. Nothing remarkable here, yet perfectly acceptable given the style in mind.
T: The first thing I notice on the palate are some hints of fruity esters. Afterwards, it shifts to a mildly hoppy finish. The hops here are grassy, earthy, lemony, and even a bit peppery. There’s a really enjoyable balance to this one, all told.
M: Light on the palate, with sweeping carbonation. I’d reckon it could be a touch drier; then again, I like my pilsners bone-dry. Easy to drink as it should be.
O: Solid. There are few other pilsners I’d go for over this one, but I’d pick this over many others, too.
12 oz. bottle pours a clear golden color with a tight white head that leaves good lacing. Aroma is that of my favorite German pilseners: grassy and malty. Taste is sweet with a noticeable hop bitterness in the finish. Body is light to medium with a crisp mouthfeel. Easily drinkable, and more complex than I thought it would be. Another winner from North Coast. drjoeng (1466) - SINGAPORE - JAN 10, 2018
4.4%ABV. Czech pils.
Poured out gold. 6ºSRM.
Nose is briny and consistent with a Gose which has aromas of brine, pickles and a hint of sulfur that you get with dried apricots and other dried fruit.
Mouthfeel is watery. Palate has pale malt and barley water or barley soup on the end. Hops are noble and woody with a grassy, sappy finish. Lingers a little.
Finish is beery and the hop finish with the sappy bitter lingers a little.
Overall a hoppy pils which in my book puts is firmly in the Czech camp. Good. ChrisOfstad (454) - Hamar, NORWAY - NOV 2, 2017

One of the closest tasting American beers to a good German pilsner that I have experienced. Nice appearance, a bit darker than expected, crisp flavor and very drinkable. One would be happy drinking this in Bavaria.

From old tasting notes. Hazy amber gold color. Small bubbles cascade to a rocky white head. Earthy, grainy malt aroma. Mildly sweet malt flavor upfront. Good subtle spicy hop flavor surfaces in finish. Complex and drinkable.

12floz bottle (BOD: 02.20.2017, $2) poured into a pint glass. This is simple beer, and that is fine as it is perfectly clean and crisp. Light in body and color, and possesses a mild cardboard aroma that transcends to a lightly grainy white bread flavor. These are all good things for a pale lager. teamsale (317) - Washington, USA - APR 23, 2017
Bottle pours a clear gold with a one finger eggshell head and light lacing. Aroma is a very light floral and rust. Taste is a crisp, clean barley. Bitterness is mild and aftertaste is light but lingering. PugUglyBrewer (842) - - APR 22, 2017
Clear liquid gold color with a creamy head of white foam. Light florals, dry biscuit, and spicy/zesty hops lend way toward a clean and crisply refreshing pilsener. willisread (3811) - Nashville, Tennessee, USA - FEB 25, 2017
Tap at J’s. Pours a clear gold with a finger of foam that dissipates quickly. Light, grainy nose with some lemon and faint malt aromas. Clean and crisp. Well-rounded and balanced mouthfeel. Simple but well done!
