Aroma is caramel malts and spices/a small hint of heat. The flavor is caramel/caramel malts, spices, oily and a mix of sour, tart and a hint of heat in the finish.

Smooth body. Copper reddish and clear. Nice head and warm flavor, but has a strange bitter aftertaste

it’s pretty heavily spiced...and not well. I love North Coast, but after giving this beer a second, third chance, etc, I won’t drink it again. Easily their weakest offering ever."

Bottle gift from SJ. Some funk, herbs, caramel and spice. Brew warmed my chest as it went down. Got better as it warmed up. Body was thin.

12oz bottle (Old Notes)-Pours a darker brown with a small head. Aroma of spices and malt. Taste of the same with more spices. This medium to full bodied brew is a nice little holiday brew.

[Tap] Pours a deep, dark brown color. Very little head on top. Aroma of roasted malts. More spice in the taste. Cocoa powder, nutmeg, sticky molasses, light wood smoke and tobacco in the flavor. A little thinner than expected. Low carbonation levels. OK overall. Tasting notes from 2/2014.

@ Vino Bellissimo / Lima OH --- Clear brown with a head that drops quickly to a light cover, no lace. Off-tasting malt with vegetable herbs that is prominent enough to be present when I don’t know the recipe. Maybe it goes where the brewer intends, but it isn’t a very desirable place. Not a keeper.

Malty aroma, hint of spice, slight slat. Flat, slight spice, some caramel and bread. This is pretty bad.

12 oz. bottle from The Party Source. Pours a cloudy amber color with a beige head that laces the glass. The aroma has a blend of winter spices, with brown sugar, toasted malts, and nuts. The flavor goes pretty much the same way. The spices are not overpowering, and follow a nutmeg-cinnamon-allspice range. Light-medium bodied, with moderate carbonation and a smooth, dry, spicy mouthfeel. Really toasty, which is nice when balanced with some spice. Worked for me.

Not much flavor for a beer that looks as nice as it does. Smooth but mild tasting
