Draft at brewpub. Nice pleasant malt aroma. White head, minimal lacing. Light spicy hop flavor with sweet malt finish. A little sweet for my taste, but solid overall redpooba (406) - Texas, USA - JAN 15, 2013
Hazy unfiltered red with a poppy white head. Simple on the nose, hot rye flavors with some depth and complexity. Best intro to a full bodied beer. LetsGoState (886) - Pennsylvania, USA - OCT 21, 2012
Appearance is medium head with clear amber. Aroma is a sweeter malt. Taste is dominated by malts, but overall a good one. kassner (1663) - Wexford, Pennsylvania, USA - OCT 15, 2011
Pretty good, sweet, hoppy, nice head and lacing with light amber color, lemony and not much rye impact but good balance DiarmaidBHK (4907) - Lewisburg, Pennsylvania, USA - AUG 2, 2011
I’m not a big fan of rye beers. I don’t think the rye adds that much to the beers. This one pours amberish without a lot on the nose. The taste has a slight grape nuts kind of vibe. Clean finisher.

On tap at the brewpub. Light rye aroma with nice bit of spicy hops. Medium dark amber clear with thin off-white lacing head. Medium watery body with medium-high carbonation. Starts dry with light gainy taste and good rye flavor. Dry acidic tang with carbonic hoppy bitter finish. Nutty. Nice rye ale. dpjuart (1112) - Indiana, Pennsylvania, USA - AUG 29, 2008
Draft sample at brewpub. Pours red/orange with white head and little nose. Malt and rye breat taste with a moderate bitter. Not terrible. Great mouth feel. cheap (5862) - Beaver Valley, Beaver County, Pennsylvania, USA - SEP 27, 2007
UPDATED: MAR 23, 2014 New rating: much better. cloudy iced tea not like an ipa, lacks the bitterness. Never in yer face, much better this time around. Old rating: Light iced tea color and very clean smelling. Barely any aroma present. Interesting and unique with it’s slightly fruity taste. Tho hints of fruit, it’s not sweet in any way. Has a mild malt bite. Some mild carbonation. Finish is medium bitter and lasts for quite a while.
