Probably the best berry wheat I’ve had, and one of the best NET beers. Pours light amber with a white head. Aroma is berry all the way. Taste is a good blend of berry and malt. The berry is a little more potent than other berry wheats I’ve had which makes it better in my opinion, as in many of these beers the berry is hardly noticeable. However, it is not overpowering and still tastes like beer and not berry juice. chriso (7536) - London, Greater London, ENGLAND - MAR 5, 2011
On tap at the North End Tavern, Parkersburg WV on 11 March 2010 (noted at 5.5%). As these things go this was a pretty decent example. Golden colour. Not too sweet. Prominent fruity presence - maybe a little artificial but relatively clean. More fruit than wheat.

UPDATED: OCT 28, 2010 On Tap at the NET. Appearance is a deep gold with hues of purple with a thin white head. Taste is heavy on berries and finish is very much like the finish of a wheat beer with the yeasty banana bread taste I have come to adore. One of my favorites from this brewer. I just with they had it more often. AmEricanbrew (7080) - Same Trailer, Different Park, Louisiana, USA - DEC 10, 2009
Blackberry Wheat pours hazy amber with white foam. Aroma is all berry juice. flavor is malty wheat with decent tasting berry juice. LilKem (1213) - Marietta, Ohio, USA - APR 11, 2009
A decent beer but not spectacular compared to their Red or Porter. Aroma of blueberries and wheat. The flavor however was not even close to the aroma. Very thin for a wheat, some faint blueberry and raspberry flavors but the whole feel of this beer was more like bud light with a splash of berry, (which is probably bud light’s next marketing campaign anyway).

The slight berry aroma and flavor with some fruit tartness is an improvement but definitely still not flavorful. f351c4v (411) - Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania, USA - NOV 11, 2007
Pours a dark yellowish color with minimal head. Aroma is dominated by berries, reminiscent of a kids cereal. Thin body, slightly citrusy taste is quickly dominated by an odd berry flavor, almost artifical. Bonus points for the attempt at the style, though. Sample at the brewpub. Pours a light amber color with a thin off-white head that does not last long. Top ring of lacing with spots underneath. The aroma is similar to Fruity Pebbles, with a bit of wheat. Light-bodied with a sweet berry flavor and touches of wheat and mild hops. The finish is short and fruity, without much aftertaste. Pretty forgettable overall. crizay (1050) - Brook Park, Ohio, USA - DEC 21, 2006
Cloudy dark yellow with a touch of purple to it. Same thing with the wheat where the grains come through and the hops are on but these weird citrus off flavors collide with a very fake raspberry taste that’s really not even fruity.
