3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Probably the best berry wheat I’ve had, and one of the best NET beers. Pours light amber with a white head. Aroma is berry all the way. Taste is a good blend of berry and malt. The berry is a little more potent than other berry wheats I’ve had which makes it better in my opinion, as in many of these beers the berry is hardly noticeable. However, it is not overpowering and still tastes like beer and not berry juice.
Taster on tap at the brewpub, served in a plastic cup. Clear golden, slightly orange color. Thin white head. Definitely get the berry in the nose... Damn, this tastes straight up like a blue berry muffin. Moderate sweet, and a good light tart taste. Light carbonation, smooth, kind of soft texture, lightly dry finish. A very similar feel to standard WV wheat. An awesome, balanced, refreshing fruit beer. BeerandBlues2 (13653) - Escondido, California, USA - DEC 13, 2013
Tap at the brewery. Pours clear dark gold with a small, fizzy white head, short retention with light lacing. Aroma is blueberry, raspberry, and strawberry with earthy and spicy wheat malt. Flavor is malt and berries with a dry finish. Light body and medium carbonation. Travlr (25543) - Charlotte, North Carolina, USA - DEC 13, 2013

Gold pour with creamy white head and lace. Huge berry aroma dominates the nose. Nice berry flavor and alot of wheat malt. Medium body with good carbonation. Pretty good beer. rondphoto (4488) - Lakeside Park, Kentucky, USA - OCT 13, 2012
Clear gold, no head, no lace, no carbonation. Taste begins with light malt which is challenged by raspberry flavoring that is quite tasty. A very light bittering shows up late. Not as strong as, but as well-imagined as any of the popular berry (framboise) drinks that are out there. Recommended. theisti (4157) - Kansas, USA - SEP 6, 2012
Approximately 3 ounce sample pour (in a plastic oversized shot glass) at the brewpub in Parkersburg, West Virginia. The pour is a light haze golden yellow with not much white head. The aroma is big berry, sort of a generic black raspberry type nose. Pretty strong, hard to pick much up beyond that. The taste is artificial berry sweetness, perhaps a bit of the wheat grain peeks through, though this is all about the synthetic berry.. The palate light bodied, the berry flavor lingers. jcwattsrugger (12507) - Florida and, New Jersey, USA - DEC 11, 2011
on tap-pours a white head and yellow/gold color. Aroma is berry. Taste is berry, wheat, some spice hops. Drake (14038) - Milwaukee, Wisconsin, USA - AUG 18, 2011
Served on draft at the brewpub. Pours a hazy pink-tinged orange with a large creamy white head. Good head retention and lacing. Aroma of artifically flavored berry syrup with some wheat notes. The taste is wheat and berries. Dry. Thin bodied. Like so many berry wheat beers this comes across as soda-like.
