330ml can. Pours bright orange. Orange, tangerine, lemon, pineapple. Sweet fruitiness up top and a nice bitter finish. Very clean. Luvystypotables (2136) - Virginia Beach, Virginia, USA - JAN 1, 2017
Pours a caramel color with a thin short lasting white head. Aroma of malt and caramel. A strong malt taste with a hint of caramel. Medium body and a skunky malt finish. canadiankiwi (149) - NEW ZEALAND - AUG 6, 2016

330ml can. Pours a clear gold with little off white head. Nose is rather fruity. Taste initially starts off very full and vibrant but almost completely dies off at the end. Could be a bad can seeing as it had apparently been shaken before opening. tombutlin (377) - Auckland, NEW ZEALAND - MAR 16, 2016
Tasty Aotearoa Pale Ale, with the assorted citrus notes as promised, and a strong hint of fresh grass. Refreshing for a 5.8% beer

Tropical fruit aroma in a golden pour. Hop forward balance with a full tasty body and a crisp clean finish. Pdubyah (857) - Auckland, NEW ZEALAND - AUG 6, 2015
It’s a very full flavoured beer, tart and sharp in taste, tropical and pungent in aroma Quite pale with a nice head, a bit of an eye opener. I was surprised by the bitterness and the dry finish, I loved the tropical sweetness, Not enough to make me want to take up surfing but. Jimthechap (2064) - Christchurch, NEW ZEALAND - JUN 21, 2015
It’s a good looking beer this one. Tasted from a can courtesy of The Beer Library in Chch, the beer was fresh, aromatic and a bit of a looker. Yellow-gold with a puffy white head with plentiful carbonation sparkle. The aroma was of tangelo, lemon peel, tropical hibiscus and melon. The body was spritzy, zesty and gave off a pringle on the tongue that kept it lively through to its citric bitterness. Lipsmacking. DylansDad (674) - North Shore, Auckland, NEW ZEALAND - JUN 11, 2015
The "A" in "APA" stands for Aotearoa, not "American", but, like, whatever, it works.
Pours crystal-clean amber with a beautiful creamy white head. Tastes delicious with mandarin dominating the mandarin marmalade, lime and lemon.
It has a short length which, in a less flavoursome or less sweet beer would be a disadvantage for me. Here, however, the lightness serves to counteract the sweetness: the body quickly drops away leaving the roof and back of your gob coated in a delicious bittersweet lacquer
