Restrained aroma in a deep brown black pour. Tasty body is both smooth and spicy and matches the strength to a T. A lovely stout in other words. Skarecrow (1143) - North Shore, Auckland, NEW ZEALAND - AUG 30, 2017
Tasting flight at Brew Union.
Black pour with OK head.
Roasted malt aroma.
Slight roasted taste but thin palate - no Cojones.

Tap pour. Pours a deep black with a small amount of off white head. Medium body with a subtle chocolate note. It has an almost burnt note hiden away behind the rich malt flavours. tombutlin (377) - Auckland, NEW ZEALAND - MAR 15, 2017
Beautiful tasty stout, but not too thick or overpowering. Bit of chocolate & subtle changes as it warmed explosivedog (2000) - Auckland, NEW ZEALAND - OCT 21, 2016
UPDATED: OCT 22, 2016 On tap at the Lumsden. Pours black as night and drinks unbelievably smooth. Aroma is bitter spice and coffee and the flavour is much the same. Espresso, cinnamon, little cream. Like chai coffee or something, really fantastic.
