COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
A solid American wheat, with a classic nose that transitions to a faint cherry aroma complimenting its rich amber gold hue. As this well-balanced and deceptively light-bodied wheat beer travels across the tongue, the willamette and perle hops hint at bitterness, followed by a crisp, clean wheat flavor that cuts to a subtle tart cherry finish. Asked to describe the flavor of Archangel, the most accurate response is: "it tastes like more.

Finally a cherry wheat that gives a true representation of tart cherry. Slight hint of sweet but true cherry finish, easy on the wheat with an ever so slight rose haze.

Aroma: Ripe fruit--berries--with hints of wet leaves. Appearance: Cloudy dark gold with a thick white head that dissipates quickly but leaves lots of lacing. Taste: Immediate bitterness that quickly turns sweet and then sharp and sour. Im sure this was purposeful and well intentioned, but its a bit too harsh and bitter for my tastes. Palate: Light body, crisp texture, fizzy carbonation, long, tart finish. Overall: I think this is an attempt at a Berliner Weisse with syrup added, and at that it works. But its too sharp and bitter for me, and while I appreciate the goal, the product just falls flat.

12 oz. bottle. Pours a slightly hazy orange amber color with a medium sized whited head. The aroma had some citrus, mild cherry notes, wheat and some pale malts. The flavor is a bit weaker than I would have expected. Some citrus, cherry, wheat and pale malts. Hints of tart character with more sweetness than one might expect. This is just not that exciting, and more importantly, some things are out of place.

12oz bottle from Jolly Pumpin in Ann Arbor, MI. Pours a crystal clear, red-gold-amber colored body with an inch thick, dense and frothy, off-white head that dissipates slowly and leaves a nice lacing. Aroma is crisp wheats with some grain and a decent cherry note that is sweet, but lightly tart. Flavor has much more of a juicy cherry flavor. Somewhat sweet, slightly tart cherries up front with a crisp wheat, grain, a touch of bread, and a light herbal hopping. Finishes clean and lightly bitter with some crisp wheat, sweet and tart cherries, and grain. Medium length aftertaste following a medium-light, smooth, crisp body and a moderate carbonation. Overall, a nice fruity wheat beer. The wheats are crisp and balance nicely with a mixture of sweet and somewhat tart cherries. This was very enjoyable.

Very malty aroma, fizzy on the palate. The taste is very bold and sharp, there is a very large citrus punch and notes of cherries. Lots of fruit flavors not much else not really my thing.

bottle... medium copper with a bit of bright orange, a bit light tan head, good retention, if the body was crisper would be great... really light nose that gives off some sweet citrus notes with some wheat, subtle but nice... the taste is just off, stale wheat with applesauce and clove, and a touch of light cherry, just doesnt come together correctly

Weird somewhat off fruit initial impressions. Big rocky head. Lots of co2 on the palate. Candy alky almost cloying. Yep, dont be fooled, not really too wheaty, more like wheat ale-ish. More bitterness and medicine like fruitishness than a hint. Soapy at times?

Pours a clear amber-orange color with a medium thin foamy white head that recedes slowly. Partial sticky rings of lacing on the glass. Aroma of citrus, wheat and cherry. Light body with flavors of cherries, malt, wheat and a bit of citrus zest. The finish is fruity with a short mildly tart cherry aftertaste. Slightly above average overall.

Out-of-control head (as noted by others), even on a slow top of the glass pour. Aroma invites, but taste doesnt back it up. Balance depends on sour tartness rather than hops, which makes it a poor pairing with most foods. Interesting, but not a keeper.

11.5 oz bottle: Aroma has got a nice wheat texture to it, lightly fruity, yeast, and a bit of a grainy note. Appearance is a clear golden amber with a medium to large head that diminishes quickly. Taste has got some fruitiness to it, wheat, and yeast. Palate is somewhat tart on the aftertaste. Going down its medium to low carbonation. Mouthfeel is sticky and medium bodied. Overall, a run of the mill craft beer good but not great. Cheers!
