COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
A solid American wheat, with a classic nose that transitions to a faint cherry aroma complimenting its rich amber gold hue. As this well-balanced and deceptively light-bodied wheat beer travels across the tongue, the willamette and perle hops hint at bitterness, followed by a crisp, clean wheat flavor that cuts to a subtle tart cherry finish. Asked to describe the flavor of Archangel, the most accurate response is: "it tastes like more.”

(Bottle, Oliver Twist, Stockholm) Amber colour, cloudy with sediment. Frothy white head. Fruity, tart nose with citrus, sour cherries and lemon. Fruity, sourish taste with notes of citrus, cherries, wheat biscuits and a slightly citric bitterness in the finish. Medium body, rather dry and slightly tart. Interesting and definitely drinkable.

Clear pink coloured body with a dense, thick, HUGE pale pink head and tons of bubbles coming from everywhere. Aroma of sour cherries, metal, malt, wheat and a touch of light grain. Light-bodied; Very mild wheat and yeast flavour with a pungent kick of metallic notes and a very bitter cherry juice taste. Aftertaste is strong and potent - a lot of bitter tastes throughout with some cherry sweetness and tastes and a long bittering metallic note. Overall, an interesting beer - not much wheat going here, but the cherry notes are noticeable, but not so much in a good way. I sampled this twelve ounce stubby bottle purchased from Merchant’s in Dearborn, Michigan on 30-July-2010 for US$1.99 sampled at home in Washington on 25-January-2011.

Bottled at Stockholm Beer and Whisky Festival 2010. Hazy amber color. Sweet and tart with strawberry, cherry, rhubarb, acetic acid and toffee. Tastes like tarness and sourness has not yet matured and integrated.

Cherry amber with a medium frothy tan topper. Aroma of German hops, cherry, malt, dough and wheat, nothing terrible strong. Taste of sour cherry, wheat and malt. Semi-tart with a peppery and slightly off-finish.

Bottle shared by MaltDawg at the 12th Richmond Ratebeer Gathering on 9/18/10. Thanks! Pours a slightly hazy golden amber color with a medium sized white head. Decent head retention and lacing. Aroma of cherries, cocktail fruit salad (that nasty shit) and faint wheat notes. The taste is bread, cherries, caramel and a bitter hoppy finish. Medium bodied.

Pailhead (6539) - Rochester Hills, Michigan, USA - OCT 19, 2010
Bottle: The aroma consists of musty cherry (lightly sweet and tart) along with some wheat. It pours a hazy (borderline cloudy) dark orange with a massive creamy beige head with excellent retention and lacing. The flavor start with citrus and a touch of wheat. The finish has lightly sweet and tart cherry along with hints of banana and spice. As it warms, the tart cherry notes in the finish increase, but a slight metallic flavor starts to creep in as well. Medium bodied with lively carbonation that is a bit prickly at times. Decent and refreshing, but the carbonation is little too high for my liking.

Had this at Max and Jess’s housewarming. Pours a clear orange with a thin white head. Fuzzy cherry and wheat, sweet. Tart wheat, and more sweetness. Chewy tart and sweet finish.
