Crisp copper coloured body with a very thin off-white head showing some nice orange glow at the bottom. Aroma of metal, light malt, toffee, a touch of fruit and little else - some biscuits perhaps. Light to Medium-bodied; Strong caramel and cereal flavours at first with some nuts, earth, metal and a touch of apples/pears and other very light fruits at the finish. Aftertaste shows a little peat, some toffee and caramelised sugars and a little nuttiness as well. Overall, a decent beer with a good profile and perhaps the best characteristic - no bitterness or harshness at all. I sampled this stubby twelve ounce bottle purchased from Siciliano’s in Grand Rapids, Michigan on 11-September-2015 for US$1,79 sampled at home in Washington on the day of the first caucus of the presidential election year - on 01-February-2016. On tap at Jolly Pumpkin Ann Arbor. Pours a clear orange gold with a near white head that dissipates quickly to the edges. Aroma has lots of grain and straw with a sweet bite and a touch of light fruit. Flavor has sweet grains and a light nuttiness with straw notes underlying.

355ml stubby. Duantless cuase you have to sift through so many mediocre oktoberfests to find a good one. Soapy mushy grain aroma, some herbs. Falvor is candylike malt, some spice, sweet and grainy. bhensonb (15093) - Woodland, California, USA - OCT 27, 2015
Bottle from Capitol Beer in Sacramento, CA. Pours Pours gold with a white head. Aroma of light spice and light malt. Med body or nearly. Flavor is slightly roasty malt with very light spice. It’s not really dry, and it’s not very hoppy. Nuff said. Aurelius (5294) - Tallahassee, Florida, USA - SEP 30, 2015
Straw, cereal and lightly pickled aroma. Squat bottle, buoy-shaped. Decent label. Foggy, ruddy apricot... the short neck makes for a glick-glick-glick pour. Tannic, toasted, leans dry. Drinkable, grainy, to style. Meh. ABC Liquors, Betton. tmongoose (2504) - Louisville, Kentucky, USA - SEP 25, 2015
sample at a tasting. poured a medium orange with white head. the aroma was quite mild for an Oktoberfest style beer. was expecting a little sharpness to it. seems to have missed the mark. the flavor as well not offensive just middle of the road style and not much to it. drinkable yes but to style not really.
