COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
The devil made us do it. From the ABV and IBU figures to the fiendish use of Cascade, Perle and Willamette hops, Lucifer was whispering in our ears the entire time. Citrus and pine scents greet you and are followed by the sharp bitterness expected of an IPA. The beers true wickedness is revealed in the smooth Pale, Crystal 30 and wheat malts that surreptitiously broaden the beers appeal to more than just hopheads.

Aroma was interesting, but a bit weak. Hints of several things, but I would have liked a stronger citrus aroma. Nice, pillowy head with cloudy orange-copper body. Taste was slightly above-average -- certainly not bad at all, but nothing extraordinary. There was a lot going on with the palate. Lots of life with this and a bit of sting (in a very good way), but fell short of perfection because it seemed watery too. I would love to have more of this beer, but I would choose several other IPAs over this one. Still, Im glad I had it.

From bottle into pint glass. Clear amber medium sized head reduced to small covering of off white head. Stone fruit, grass, lemon hop nose. Medium bitterness, slightly sweet, medium body. Long pine finish, some caramel. Really a nice ipa, better than I remember.

12 oz fat bottle at home. Pours a hazy orange amber color with a small off white head. The aroma and flavor have pale toasted malts, bready, hay, earthy, some citrus, dry, moderate bitterness, not one I would revisit with so many other choices.

Appearance: Somewhat hazy bright amber. Thin ring of white bubbles. Nose: stronger citrus hops. Lighter presence of medium roasted malt cereal and touch of caramel Taste: Strong citrus hops. Grapefruit. Decent roasted cereal presence. Touch of sweetness Body: Medium to thinner Parting thoughts: Quite a nice little IPA

12 oz. shorty bottle served in shaker- poured a 20% hazy solid copper/brown color, white ring about the vessel for a head, spotty lacing upon it as it quickly went into my tummy. Aroma of light pine and citrus. Hits the mouth with a light-medium body, malt is awash in caramel (whew!), middle has a fine hop crescent, finish is lightly acidic and has quite an amount of resin. Decent, itll work.

Bottle from GBBF 2016 and drunk at home. Clear brown amber colour lasting dark cream head. Lovely grapefruit pink grapefruit hop aroma. Quite malty in the mouth. Some dry brown malt flavour. Some more hop on the finish. The aroma is good then perhaps its just a little too malty. Quite sweet as well. Good though and well made.

Bottle at Shnoodlepip after GBBF 2016, Tuesday. Clear golden beer with a small offwhite head. Hoppy citrus aroma, grapes, hay, floral. Malty caramel aroma, bready, citrus, hay, some floral notes. Feels old, not the standard i expect from bottles bought at GBBF.

Sampled from bottle @ ChrisOs after GBBF Day 1. Clear orange color, medium sizded white head. Aroma is old stale hops, malts. Taste malts, hops, old hops, bitter, malt bitter. Appears old and not nearly in its best shape at all. Decent body and medium carbonation. Too bad this is old and oxidised.

Bottle. First beer from this brewery. Solid, maybe fairly average IPA. Smooth but not particularly unique. Good ipa

UPDATED: NOV 14, 2016 Diabolical is a good IPA. It has a bit of an excess in bitter aftertaste, but it makes up for this with some citrusy sweet entrance to the mouth. The pine and citrus aroma with the golden pour, its a really good IPA.
