MIDWEST INDIA PALE ALE
The devil is in the details. The light touch of pale and wheat malts. Amarillo, Cascade, Simcoe and Chinook hops. Massive hops additions imbue a wicked bitterness and the intense floral aromas of citrus and lush tropical fruit. Hoppy, hoppy, rich and golden.

A very solid IPA with strong alcohol and hops throughout. With a malty backbone this beer comes out well-balanced. A bright start with a strong finish.

bottle. Best part of this beer is the packaging. Very underwheling imperial ipa. over abundance of malts made an odd beer

Non Beer Trip Beer Trip Beer #92. Keg at Jolly Pumpkin Ann Arbor, 3/12/16. Clear golden, large foamy white head, good retention. Aroma of toffee, wheat and citrus hops. The taste is toffee, wheat, caramel, herbal and citrus hops. Medium-full bodied, low carbonation, mild booze.

Poured a clear golden amber with a touch of copper. There was a tall light beige foamy head that became slightly creamy as it settled. There were a lot of carbonation bubbles rising up in the glass. The predominate aroma was sweet caramel malt, some biscuit and a hint of chocolate. The beer had a slightly silky feel with a big caramel malt sweetness. It took awhile for the hops to cut through the malt and give a nice citrus bitterness in the middle and try to balance off the huge amount of malt sweetness. I liked this beer a lot, but it seemed to me that the hops was overpowered by the malt sweetness. It needed more hops or less malt to be a really great tasting beer.

Pours a slightly hazy orange color the thinnest white head with a little lacing. A spicy malt aroma. A weird mix of a woodsy flavor mixed with a sugary malt. The alcohol flavor reminds me a bit of the aroma of paint. While my review may come off as horrible there is something pleasing in this mix and I could see it being amazing to the right person.

Deep super hazy golden and lightly copper coloured body with a thinnish, fast-dying tan head. Aroma of resin, alcohol, malt, rich hops, caramel and a good deal of toffee. Full-bodied; Strong alcohol and pungent malt flavours throughout with a big hop presence, but bigger malt and alcohol note that shows very strongly. Aftertaste shows some dry hops, a lot of earth, nuts and especially caramelised/toffee sweetness on the finish with a big alcohol burn to get past. Overall, a good, but slightly too strong beer with a lot of flavours and alcohol tastes instead of more of a complex hop vibe. Regardless, still nice to sample, especially with the stubby bottle. I sampled this stubby 12 ounce bottle purchased from Sicilianos in Grand Rapids, Michigan on 11-September-2015 for US$3,39 sampled at home in Washington on 23-June-2016.

Auburn-tan brew, stubby bottle, decent label. Pour makes a nice tinged ivory lather. Mature, malty aroma with toffee and subtle esters. Assertive, woody bittering at first swig. Sweet at times, boozy at others. A slightly ragged balance, barleywine-ish. Chummy, chewy, interesting. Finish is bitter and flawed. ABC Liquors, Betton.

Apricot and grapefruit. Pretty heavy. Dank fruits and bitter on the tongue. Bottle at home. Not bad
