Pretty good. Nice piney hop aroma with with a hint of malts. The description indicates the hops used are Michigan-grown, which seem pretty aromatic. Nice copper color with a thin head. Average weight palate with good carbonation. Nice hops bitterness, pretty clean. Good grain presence to balance, which adds a slight sweetness. Nice offering into a what is becoming a very crowded category. radarsock (1193) - Massachusetts, USA - JAN 5, 2014
WillRunForBeer supplied—thanks! Shared with the Frank Zappa lookalike at my pad. To long-stemmed wine glass, it pours a deep orange nectar with which a thin, sudsy whitish head stood atop. Aromas of graham crackers, rock thyme, salted caramel, lavender petals, and krill oil. Tastes of everything described above with the addition of American hops and yeast by swallow. Could drink a lot of this. Good beer; get yourself some. WillRunForBeer (2652) - Massachusetts, USA - JAN 5, 2014
Bottle. Pours brownish gold with an off white head. Aroma is grapefruit and caramel malts. Can't smell anything else because there's a lot of Yankee Candles in the room. Flavor is white bread with orange and grapefruit peel bitter. alliance100 (1152) - Grand Rapids, Michigan, USA - DEC 29, 2013
12 oz bottle - pours a hazy orange with off white head solid lacing . Big earthy hop aromas . Medium bitterness and herbal hop flavors . Moderate lingering bitterness on the finish . Solid IPA .

A solid body, fresh hop smelling and tasting IPA. I have finished my 5th six pack and am looking for more. If you love hops, try this beer.

Advent beer #13 - 12oz bottle (8% ABV per label) - look through this beer and everything is like a Marc Caro and Jean-Pierre Jeunet movie. Nose is resin and citrus. Quite bitter without the bitter face. Dry finish. Kind of flat. My favorite so far from the Advent Calendar. Tmoney99 (14460) - Cincinnati, Ohio, USA - DEC 4, 2013
Bottle. Poured clear light copper color with an average to large frothy off-white head that was mostly lasting with excellent lacing. Moderate to heavy complex hop aroma. Medium to full body with a slick texture and soft carbonation. Medium to heavy bitter hop flavor with a medium to heavy bitter finish of moderate to long duration. This is a good beer that exceeded my expectations. tectactoe (3125) - Michigan, USA - DEC 4, 2013
UPDATED: SEP 11, 2014 Bottle: Thanks, Mike! Copper penny body with nice clarity & a thin bubbled, beige layer of cream on top. Aroma is pretty citric with a mild white pepper-y, herbal leafy essence underneath. Grapefruit & light lemon. Taste has some pungent, juicy grapefruit notes with some pine, hop oil, mild dankness & bitter leaves. Some malty sweetness underneath, but balanced well with a stingy bitterness that leads to a seemingly dry finish. Sammy (12197) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - DEC 3, 2013
