St. Augustine, Fl - Broudy’s Liquors, 12 oz stubby bottle. Pours a lifeless medium copper, no head. Aroma has some mealy vegetable accents, a hint of molasses. flavor is muddled with some overripe vegetables, some molasses, just a hint of chocolate. Amber ale? Far from it. Oily mouuthfeel. Did not finish this one.

Draft at Jolly Pumpkin in Ann Arbor. Pours a dark amber color. Aroma and taste are very mild (nearly lacking) - caramel and malts.

pours slightly hazy medium dark golden orange with a small slightly creamy off-white-orange head, some retention and lacing. lagering mellow fruity notes, peaches and apricots, fruity berries as well, floral and lightly earthy undertones, grassy and herbal as well, tea leaves, lightly toasted cereals, dash of caramel. a bitter-like oriented brew for sure. moderately low carbonation, light body, dry and crisp spicy-peppery-gently earthy finish. subtle, mellow and nice. not saying this often, but this one seems underrated, or let’s just say misunderstood.

Tap at Jolly Pumpkin. Pours a clear copper color with almost no head. Aroma is straight up caramelized malt with maybe a touch of toast. Tastes like a basic watery red ale. Certainly not bad but just boring. Some hop bitterness in the finish. Ok.

First time trying this brewer, not a great beer lacking that next step flavor wise but drinkable

Draft at Zingerman’s Roadhouse. Dark brown color with a khaki head. Overall, on the sweeter side with buckets of malt but enough hops to balance. Nice amber for someone who isn’t a big hop/bitterness fan.
