Deep amber red body with a tall foamy off white head that’s super creamy looking. Very sexy lacing. The aroma is leafy. Metallic? The flavor is malty and crisp. Doesn’t linger. I think this bottle is a tad old, so I will rate what I recall. I know I did like it... and was surprised that I did. Malty. Clean. Easy drinking. vyvvy (6468) - Florissant, Missouri, USA - JAN 30, 2014
Pours bronze / amber with a beige head. The aroma has toasty malt, dark bread and overall maltiness - fairly simple. It has a medium / thin watery body with light sharp carbonation. The flavor starts with toasty malt, spicy hops, crackers and wateriness. The finish is clean and refreshing. Decent amber ale. Hartung32 (252) - Indiana, USA - NOV 19, 2013
Solid Amber; not great, not bad. Hard for me to review since it's probably the style I have the least amount of interest in. Smooth, good malt profile and nice touch of hops.

Had a glass on tap as part of a sampler at the brewery. Solid effort for a boring style. burg326 (5482) - Florida, USA - NOV 6, 2013
Might have been an old bottle but poured an amber color with aromas toast, biscuit and light floral hops. Fla ors were the same less the hops, it was more of a hops were there but now have gotten moldy flavor, bitter aftertaste.

12 ounce bottle into pint glass, bottled on 8/19/2013. Pours lightly hazy ruby copper color with a 1-2 finger dense cream colored head with good retention, that reduces to a thin cap that lingers. Spotty lacing clings down the glass. Aromas of caramel, toast, biscuit, toffee, orange zest, lemon zest, floral, grass, light pine, light roast, and floral earthiness. Nice and pleasant aromas with good balance of malt and hop notes; with solid strength. Taste of caramel, toast, biscuit, toffee, floral, grass, lemon/orange zest, light pine, light roast, and floral earthiness. Fair amount of earthy pine bitterness on the finish; with lingering notes of caramel, toast, biscuit, toffee, citrus, floral, grass, light pine, and light roast on the finish for a bit. Nice balance of malt and hop flavors; with good robustness and zero cloying flavors after the finish. Medium carbonation and body; with a lightly creamy, smooth, and crisp mouthfeel that is nice. Alcohol is very well hidden with no warming present after the finish. Overall this is a nice amber ale! All around good balance and robustness of malt and hop flavors; and very smooth and crisp to drink. A nicely enjoyable offering. carlb (107) - East Lansing, Michigan, USA - OCT 14, 2013
Pours a rich, dark copper with 2-inch tan head that was initially persistent, but then disappeared completely leaving some Belgian lace. It provided an initial nose of toasted bread and biscuits. Some floral hops? Not so sure. Medium body with slightly unpleasant metallic taste mixed with caramel and butter. Short on the palate. Not a favorite. blackflag321 (689) - Lansing, Michigan, USA - AUG 21, 2013
Drank several over a weekend. I thought the coppery taste of the first one was just a bad bottle, but it was there in the others, too. Mediocre. markwise (5441) - North of Tampa, Florida, USA - AUG 7, 2013
On draft at JP Ann Arbor. Pours a clear amber with a white head. Nose is some toasted malts, some bread, some slight biscuit character, and mild floral hops. Flavor is similar with bread, toast, biscuit, and some fruity and floral hops. Mild bitterness in the finish. 574deadzone (1419) - North Central, Indiana, USA - JUN 17, 2013
On tap. Pours a deep amber brown with a thinner eggshell head. Nose involves quite a bit of caramel, some honey, orange, toast, toffee, and nuts. Pretty sweet with a fair bitterness. Medium bodied, fair carb, with an herbal bitter finish. A decent, drinkable brew, but kind of dull. Not especially exciting.
