Cask hand pull with Hatzer limbering up for The Sleafordz in Cov, 07/11/16. Slim haloed mahogany. Generous waft of chocolate cake. That taste awash with Young's confectionery and Eclair notes. Solid balancing bitterness. Good.

Bottle, courtesy of the brewer. Cheers! Clear, dark cola brown. Swirl of beige head. Nose has chocolate ice cream. Milk chocolate. Fruit and Nut chocolate. Quite chocolatey. Taste is sweet, with a touch of dried vine fruit, twangy bitterness. Soft and silky mouthfeel. Sweet and lightly tangy finish. Does what it sets out to do really well.

Body is smooth with soft carbonation. Taste is sweet and lactic, vanilla and cream, some red apple, cocoa. Building ash. Smells great. Tastes too sweet up front but has a building bitterness. Good.

minutemat (6596) - Shropshire, ENGLAND - JAN 19, 2017
500ml bottle. Pours black with large tan head Big chocolate ice cream aroma. Taste is smooth with a distinct chocolate ice cream flavour, rather than just chocolate or cocoa. Light creamy vanilla attributes, but really it’s all about the chocolate. Very good indeed.
