This was poured into an English pint glass.
The appearance was a ruddy burnt orange almost amber color with a thin creamy colored head. Sly messy lace.
The aroma takes on some toast, roasty nuts, and an ample amount of caramel to toffee malts. Subtle biscuits.
The flavor leans to the malty side embracing some clean driven grassy to earthy hops, somewhat bitter. Crisp semi-sweet to bitter aftertaste and finish.
On the palate, this one sat about a light to medium on the body with a great sessionability about it. ABV felt appropriate.

Hazy amber color with small head. Light caramel character, dry mouthfeel, some fruity esters, and like all beers at North Sound, it’s fairly bitter. Clean, pleasant, atypical ESB.
Taster @ North Sound Brewing. Notes: "Sessionable. Nothing offensive but pales in flavor to the others in the sampler."

Draft at special brwws. Pours a cloudy medium amber with a loose and creamy white head. Big toasty nutty nose, smells like pine nuts sauteeing in strong olive oil. Appealing amber hued body on which is set a thick tanned head. Cidery and candi malt whiffs waft off the glass, soon to be followed by nutty brown malt wavers. Nose is of caramel, toast, toffee, earth, floral notes, and a little peppery hops. Pours hazy amber, solid head, lace. The flavor has nice notes of caramel, toast, and brown bread followed by earthy floral hops with hints of pepper and dirt. Nice lingering hop flavor and bitterness.
