Handpull cask at the Live & Let Live, Cambridge. Light to mid-golden yellow, flat. Light malty aroma with some lemon balm and a touch of hay. Bittersweet with a bit of citrus, a touch of sour tang but never gets going. Some orange bitters in the aftertaste. Flat, oily body. Just doesn’t have a lot of character although it’s well enough made.

Cask. Pours pale gold with white top. Strong lacing. Aroma richly malt and modestly hoppy. Taste reverses scent. Richly fruity atop a modest biscuit malt. Medium to light body. Soft finish. But an excellent session bitter at 3.8%. As Oscar says the only sure way to end temptation is to yield to it.

Half pint, cask at Mr. Foley’s Cask Ale House. Creamy white head, bubbly ring to the rim of the surface. Cloudy golden body. Mild, fruity, semi-dry, on the nose. Taste of lemony hops with a basement touch to it. Bittersweet ending. Medium to thin bodied. Crisp, smooth and refreshing (Leeds 01.07.2013).
