Copper with retentive head, weak aroma, light crisp hops finish. A nice session beer.

This bitter ale poured light brown with good blended notes of sweet malt and bitter hops. This allowed the palate to share in the same contradictory experience. It finished with the correct amount of bitterness as well.

22 oz. bottle purchased at the brewpub. A very pleasant surprise -definitely reminded me of a good English ESB. Nice blend of malt and hops. Strong creamy lasting . head. Medium body and bitterness with a mildly bitter aftertaste . Best of the Northampton products I’ve tried - wish it were available in a 6-pack.

Draught @ Brewpub: This one pours a hazy coppery color with a small head. Lots of lacing on this one. The aroma is somewhat caramel malty sweet, with hints of roastiness and hops. The taste is malty, slightly roasty and slightly bitter. Nice.

sampled at the brewpub. Amber in color. Grainy and sweet malt in the aroma with some citrus as well. Taste is lightly malty with a dry biscuity character, with some citrus hops in the flavor. Lightly bitter in the finish. interesting bitter.

Cask at Brazen Head. Amber color with a small white head. Grain/cereal malt and citrusy hop aroma. Cereal malt flavor, delicate sweetness, with a nice little orangey tinge throughout. Lively body for a cask ale. Pretty good overall.

Shared a sampler that had this in it. The color was light brown and contained a good balance of mellow hops and malts.

This is my favorite beer Northampton makes. It is a nice smooth bitter, almost like the ones in London.

On tap at the brewpub. Nice dark copper color. Smooth with a mild hoppy and even more mild maltiness.
