On tap at Northampton Brewery on 19 April 2010. Noted at 5.4%. Described as a German style Roggenbier with 30% Rye. Gold colour. Not much head. To be honest, the Rye doesn’t make much of an impression. Quite well hopped but came over more like a Pilsner. Tasty enough.

Hazy golden pour with a thick white head. The aroma is lovely. Bright spicy noble hops, citrus and a touch of fresh bready character. A touch of wheaty/rye spiciness as well. Lovely soft hoppiness as well, so it’s tough to distinguish where the spice is coming from. Nice lingering spicy finish and a moderately hoppy finish. Pretty damn tasty really.
