3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Milky white head. Golden wheat color. Bready, banana nose. TONS of banana flavor (and that's an understatement). A nice hef, but wouldn't do more than one per session.

Tap; pours cloudy yellow with a white head; standard hefeweizen aroma of banana, clove, and some wheat notes; taste is sweet with banana and wheat; dryish finish with some clove hints; a little light but okay arminjewell (9636) - East Lansing, Michigan, USA - MAR 15, 2015
Pour on tap at the brewpub, slightly hazy golden pour with white head, aroma brought notes of biscuit, wheat, some vanilla into a bit of orange peel, pear, touch of white grape into a bit of yeasty notes. Taste was a mix of yeast, bread, dough into a bit of white grape, pear, some slight orange peel, vanilla, finishing sweet, yeasty. islay (2734) - Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA - AUG 4, 2013
Multiple pours from a growler purchased at the brewpub on 8-3-13. Floral aroma features a champagne-like scent. I was hoping for more from the aroma (hefeweizen aromas often are excellent) but it’s still pretty good. Pours a cloudy brass with a large amount of fluffy, sticky, off-white head. Produces excellent lacing. Good looking beer. Tangy, dry taste features orange rind, lemon, cream, watermelon, mineral water, and gin and tonic with lime elements. Bubblegum aftertaste. Light to medium body. Watery. Soft and frothy in the palate. Reasonably lively. A bit insubstantial in the palate. Northbound’s hefeweizen is of the tangy, citrusy variety of the style, whereas I generally prefer the bubblegum/banana variety. But it’s pretty good for what it is. UPDATED: SEP 15, 2013 Tasted on tap at Northbound Brewpub. Cloudy, almost murky golden with an off white head. Citrus aroma with a smooth, almost creamy taste.

Had it on tap at Northbound Brewery in Minneapolis! Hard to rate because hefeweizen’s aren’t my thing. But as far as they go this is pretty good. Cloudy orange hue light head and uneven lacing and a steady hefeweizen taste, not overpowering.

Pours an orange/yellow with a puffy white head. Smell is yeasty, banana and bubblegum. Taste is somewhat tart, more banana, and some malt. Funky tart finish. Mouthfeel is full and velvety. Not bad.

On tap at brewpub pours a hazy yellow with a large white head. Fairly nondescript aroma of wheat. Taste of wheat and mellow Belgian spice light clove and banana, slight tartness. Not bad spice doesn’t overwhelm, not great but drinkable. BVery (10501) - Plymouth, Minnesota, USA - MAY 24, 2013
Tap at the brewpub. Hazy brigh yellow pour with a spotty white head. Clove and banana all over this. Soft palate. Excellent hefe.
