UPDATED: APR 9, 2015 Minnesota Beer #800. Black color with no head. Strong aroma of smoke. Very piggy (that bacony, ham kinda smoke). Heavy roast and chocolate flavors with moderate smoke rounding it out. Full body.

Sampled from the tap at the brewpub. Pours near black with a brown head that dissipates slowly to the edges and laces slightly. Aromà has notes of sweet dark grains with a good amount of roast and a touch of smoke. Flavor has a nice combination of sweet dark grains, roasted malts and a growing smokiness. Growler from the pub. Pours dark brown with a small tan head that quickly dissipated. Aroma is dark chocolate, roast, coffee and smoke. Taste is sweet with some light acrid bitter notes. Medium bodied, slick texture and overall a very solid porter. I enjoyed the hint of smoke in this porter. csaso (2321) - Missouri, USA - OCT 22, 2014
Tap - average size tan foamy head, almost black color, mildly roasty and chocolatey aroma and flavor, fair hop balance, good overall

Dark brown pour at the brewpub with a slight tan head and some lacing. Not much going on in the nose - roasted malt. Taste is malty, chewy, slightly smoky in the finish. Roasted dark malt, slight bitter chocolate. Quite nice.
