Can. Murky golden with a medium sized off white head with good retention and regeneration. Citrus, dry grass, hay and mango pulp in the nose. The flavour has citrus, dough, mango, hay and dry grass. Medium body, milky texture, medium sweet and bitter. Hoppy finish. Ok. drjoeng (1380) - SINGAPORE - AUG 12, 2017
UPDATED: AUG 12, 2017 6.5%ABV. IPA.
Poured out rich amber. 14SRM.
Nose has ripe oranges, orange juice, sweet orange blossoms. Hint of pine.
Mouthfeel is juicy. Palate has bright citrus flavors right off the bat with juice and peel of a ripe Valencia. Malt flavors are wheat toast, barley bread, graham cracker, pie crusts and honey; the malt palate on this one comes off more sweet than bready. Hops are orange peel, crushed orange pips, cilantro, grass and a palpable earthiness.
Finish is long with sweet, juicy and a sappy bitter with a very pleasant final flavor-aroma of fresh yuzu. The finish is reminiscent of the experience of enjoying a ripe Valencia.
Overall, this was a very juicy IPA. Refreshing with a bold juicy palate without being too sweet or juicy, and what you're ultimately left with is an impression that you've had a ripe orange.

June 2017 - Can shared at Leighton’s. Thank you Mr Tipple. Also a full can to myself at home a couple of days later. As ’Northern Monk / Fieldwork Travel Notes’, 6.5%. Pours hazy orange, foamy off-white head doesn’t endure. Aroma is peach and orange. Body is smooth with soft carbonation. Taste is orange, resin, powdered bonbons, chalky. At home I got some more blueberry and parma violet vibes. Quite gloopy and sweet, but definitely enjoyable. (7-4-6-4-15=3.6)
