Keg @ Piccadilly Tap, Manchester. Darker reddish-brown with a small head. Very nutty in its aroma, nutty-sweet in its taste. Is likeable, certainly for me who has never been a peanut butter fan, which is prevalent here.

330ml can (thanks FatPhil). Murky brown-black color. Enough sweetness in aroma to kill 10 diabetics, some roast and peanuts too. Taste isn’t that sweet, more roasted malts and and some peanut like thing. Weird gimmick.

Willing to put up with ratebeer’s continual server errors, Anna wrote this: Scary-sweet aroma that does have peanut butter in, in a big way. Phil gets more roastiness in the aroma. The taste carries forward the theme of diabetes. Anna gets quite a bit of cocoa powder. Phil’s summary is ’That wasn’t good, was it?’ Unwilling to put up with ratebeer’s continual server errors, I scribbled this in my notes: Smells of quality street. Sweet, peanutty chocolate powder. Full palate, crazy sweet. Gimmicky mess. Our scores mostly agreed, the above is a bit of a mix of the pair.

Keg at The Pint Shop, Oxford, Wednesday 25th January 2017 prior to The Blue Aeroplanes gig at The Cellar, Oxford. Pours murky, puddly brown with a slim off-white rim. The peanutyness is remarkably similar to that you get in a Buxton/Omnipollo Yellow Belly, but I like that this is a Brown Ale. Smells a little peanutty, good beer, nice soft mouthfeel. Pours a dark hazy red with an off white head. Aroma is dominated by peanut butter but has fruity notes behind it. Flavour of peanut butter, sweet fruits, chocolate and jam. Very nice.

Can. Hazy deep amber - brown beer, tidy tan head. Palate is light, semi dry and has reasonable carbonation. Light and fairly dry malts, sweetish. Sweet caramel and dry peanut. Sweet fruits, generic and mildly jammy. A little more caramel before a dry finish leaves a modest bitter linger. A fun beer and pretty drinkable.

gunnar (9696) - Sandnes, NORWAY - DEC 27, 2016
On tap at NMBCo True North Bar, Sandnes. Pours hazy dark brown with a small head. Aroma of oats, malts and peanut butter. Taste is moderate sweet, easy detectable peanut butter, caramel. Nice with a good thick texture.

Can. Mr. Pickles, Sheffield. Dirty dark red. Ring of mucky, beige head. Nose has peanut butter. Strawberry jam. Some chocolate malts. Taste is a little salty, and jammy sweet. Mouthfeel is thin and earthy. Jammy sweet finish. Not for me, this one.
