drjoeng (1481) - SINGAPORE - JAN 11, 2018
5.1%ABV. APA. Poured out yellow gold. 6ºSRM. Nose has fresh pine and citrus peel. Mouthfeel is juicy. Palate has pale and wheat malt flavors with saltines, soda biscuits, wheat flour. Middle of the palate has some rounded juiciness suggesting orange juice. Hop flavors are lemon zest, grapefruit peel, pine needles , cilantro with fennel and dill with a neat earthy palate. Bitter is light resin, sap and grass. Finish is medium with the sap and grass flavor. Overall a reallly well-balanced hop forward ale. Good, refreshing, full-bodied without being cloying.

Keg at Brewdog Manchester. A hazy deep golden colour with a thin white head. Aroma of peach, orange, some grapefruit, subtle toasted grains, a little nail varnish and slight floral hops. Some citrus and fruit but mainly floral hops and toasted grain. Good flavour but overall not Northern Monks Best.
