UPDATED: DEC 29, 2013 Can. Pale yellow pour with a small foamy white head. Nose is mostly corn. Thin palate. Taste is corn, and slightly sweet. Not good. drowland (9080) - Georgia, USA - AUG 13, 2009
Well, it’s better than Northern Light, surprisingly, considering it’s Ice. For an Ice, this is relatively lacking in flavor, which actually makes it better (ie: easier to stand)... not recommended, but it’s alright. jpm30 (1587) - East Central, Georgia, USA - JUN 13, 2007
This is a new beer to my area, just hit the cooler shelves in the grocery store liquor departments, this was in the singles ice bucket by the counter, so I thought I would try it. I should have looked closer, if I knew this was a Gluek product, I probably would have passed, coded freshness date on the bottom of 12 oz. can, sampled ice cold in a pint glass.
Poured a clear pale lager golden with a foamy white head, the head rose in a strange looking way, lots of big bubbles first, then the foam, not off to a great start.
For ice lager, the smell is not that bad, better than most, clean overall, caramel, grainy, more fructose than corn, nothing hop like. The caramel maltiness was very sursrising.
Good carbonation, not fizzy, and a softly crisp, dryish, smooth medium-light bodied mouthfeel, the body has a little heft than your usual ice beer.
This is best tasting ice lager I’ve had so far, once again, I’m surprised, doesn’t have the thinnest of sweet pale malts that one expects in a ice beer, but you can taste the alcohol, a common feature of any ice lager I’ve tried, again the caramel graininess, a fructose-like sweetness, I have no idea if corn is used in this, I can’t find any sweet corn or boiled corn taste, the website says nothing about the ingredients, the website states for the regular Northern Reserve Lager that the hops are low and you know what, they are not lying, the hops are tasteless without much of a bite, a slight solvent alcohol flavor emerges towards the end, and dry caramel grainy finish, pretty clean with no flavors really lingering in the palate.
I don’t know what to say about this, I’m not really a fan of ice beers, but this was passable, would do in the pinch, not as dry or thin, let’s say, as Bud Ice, Natural Ice, Keystone Ice or Milwaukee Best Ice, I preferred this to all of those.

about fuckin time i found another gluek product to rate. this one didnt dissapoint. It was pure swill from the arom to the body to the end. This was basically durango with a different name. LilKem (1213) - Marietta, Ohio, USA - FEB 4, 2007
blah, nothing exciting. nice and smooth for an ice. not so much a flavorful beer but not the worst beer ever. some corn ,some sugar, some watered down flavor and thats all she wrote

Pale golden, dead body, dusty particulate, fast white head. Corn syrup aroma smells sweet, adjunct-laden and just plain nasty. Sweet malt flavor with some sickening buttery notes. Some mineral water flavor in the finish, but it doesn’t jive with the thick, corny sweetness that precedes it. Slick (1969) - Thief River Falls, Minnesota, USA - AUG 24, 2006
Thanks, Cornfield. (I would have linked to you, but it appears that I can no longer do that.)
Good golden color, small white head and again it faded quickly and left nothing behind. The aroma was corny and maybe a bit on the sweet side. The flavor was corny a bit cerealish with a slight sweetness to it and a faint hop showing in the end. It’s pretty nasty stuff but it will go down smoothly after you choke down a 6 pk.Super cheap drunk if thats your bag. Horribly pale limp urine yellow with little or no head. Aroma of corn. Flavor is weak canned corn, malt-liquor like in most regards and very, very unpleasant. Thanks? to Cornfield for the pleasure of sampling this one. Cornfield (5569) - Oak Forest, Illinois, USA - JUN 10, 2006
Glueked again! This entry by the brewer of brewers is one of those nearly-malt-liquor iced lagers that smells of old corn syrup, tastes like sugar and tin, and leaves the stomach feeling somewhat uncomfortable. I would advise drinking it very cold.incutrav (577) - Woodbury, Minnesota, USA - FEB 24, 2006

This certainly isnt to bad of a craft. Picked some up on the way camping up north last summer, 24 cans for 7.99, so thats nice. Strong on the ABV which made me happy as well!
