750 ml bottle. Somewhat faint aroma with barrel aging aspect. Little head and no lace that quickly becomes no head. Murky reddish brown body. Wonderfully sweet and woody, vanilla notes with considerable strength but not boozy. I’m a huge fan of this beer.

Bottle; (Bomber from their anniversary 3-pack that I finally picked up from my brother); pours amber with a cream colored head; aroma is sweet with caramel, vanilla, and bourbon with hints of wood and dark fruits; taste is sweet with caramel, vanilla, dark fruits, and hints of wood; finish is sweet with hints of the alcohol; quite carbonated but overall a very good beer

Bomber shared by Bvery, thanks buddy. Cloudy amber golden pour. Aroma is slight whiskey and soapy. Taste follows, a little boozy. Decent brew.

Bomber #394/1000. Murky orange / amber pour with a fairly dense off white head. Malty caramel pour with a sharp boozy note. Plenty of whiskey coming out - more of the light boozy type versus the deep rich woody bourbon notes. Still solid.

Sampled from 750ml bottle (284/1000), pours a clear copper amber colored brew with a thick and rocky off-white head that slowly dissipates and leaves behind excellent lacing. Aroma of caramel and golden grain malt, vanilla, a hint of oak and a touch of brown sugar. Taste is full bodied, extra carbonation, some alcohol presence with flavors of multi-grain malt, brown sugar, some prunes, vanilla and a touch of bourbon. Finish has a little alcohol bite at first followed by a light brown sugar, oak and vanilla aftertaste. Careful when aging this one. The extra carbonation may have caused two bottles to explode in my cellar.

Bottle. Copper color with a large head. Sweet, woody bourbon aroma. Some vanilla, and green/fresh oak. Big bourbon flavor. A bit green apple, but it seems wood/bourbon derived, not fermentation related. Very sweet, but not quite cloying. Brown sugar, dates, vanilla. Full bodied. A bit high carbonation. Alcohol is very hidden. Best of the three of their anniversary beers, and easily my favorite from Northgate so far.

Poured from a bomber into a snifter amber with an off white head. Aroma is BOURBON> Flavor is like sipping a ale drenched in a woody bourbon cask. Lots of timber & unique essence of booze. Flavors meld well. Possibly one of the most distinct brews I have consumed in a long time.

Sampled at Northgate Liquors MN beer tasting. A bit medicinal and boozy, but overall this is good and smooth. Nicely done.
