3.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
UPDATED: NOV 22, 2012 I’ve had two more pints of this since writing the rating: I loved it the second time around and have upped my scores accordingly. Hand-pulled pint on 29th Sept 2012 in the excellent Cock Hotel, Wellington (Shropshire).
Light amber body with a white head sat firmly on top.
Now I’m assuming this beer is named after the Fuggles Hop and not the breweries Italian place (also called Fuggles) because the flavours of this beer follow the noble hop Fuggles path. Meaning it is earthy, woody, spicy, fairly dry tasting and a long way from sweet, yet not overly bitter
In short this is an easy drinking semi-hoppy beer with a malt content that hovers just below the surface in both the aroma and taste.

2.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 9/20
Golden ale with a creamy head and a malty aroma. It has a smooth texture but it is just a bitterness for its flavour.
