On tap at Northwest, pours a dark amber with a small beige head. Aroma brings out dry bready malts and dry fruitokess. Flavour is dry, with fruity bready malts. Bland but decent. Okay. Oakes (18594) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - FEB 9, 2015
Hazy dull amber. Crackery, typical slightly caramelly amber with moderate bitterness. Utterly typical. Ferris (16304) - Burnaby, British Columbia, CANADA - FEB 9, 2015
Draft - Caramel and toasty malts. Clear copper with a beige head. Caramel, light toasted malts, burnt notes and a dry finish. There is something missing in this, the malts are much too weak. Ratman197 (15228) - Arvada, Colorado, USA - JUN 1, 2013
Bomber poured a clear amber with a lasting amber head. Aromas of bread, carmel, light fruittiness and a hint of earthiness. Palate was medium bodied and smooth. Flavors of bread, carmel and light fruittiness with a smooth lingering carmel finish. after4ever (8025) - Mukilteo, Washington, USA - NOV 17, 2011
22. Pours a slightly hazy dark amber with a loose and sudsy off-white rim of bubbles. Nose of molasses and iced tea, not very harmonious. Creamy medium body, not much carb. Molasses, iced tea, and a bit of ashiness on the mid palate. Ashy finish.

Clear amber color/ ivory head. Nice earthy, fruity hop aromas with some tea leaf. Medium bodied. Caramel, pale malt lightly sweet flavors with some pine, tea leaf bitterness to balance--classic pnw amber 5000 (6862) - Hardened Liver, Washington, USA - NOV 22, 2011
Bottle:   Deep amber, some sediment floats about, absolutely huge rocky sand colored head, with sticky lacing and very strong carbonation.   The head on this is immense, and it wont go down!   That is by far the
clumpiest lacing I have ever seen!   Soft sweet malty nose, a little bready.   Smooth maltiness right up front, sweeter than most.   Low hops in this one, its all about the malt and the sweetness.   Very pale nuttiness
too.   This one is rather nice.   Body and mouthfeel are moderate to full.   A little tangy on the finish.   I liked this one quite a bit.   Low on the hop, stronger on the malts, with more sweetness than average.
Could use a touch more body tho. reebtogi (6350) - Edmonton, Alberta, CANADA - DEC 9, 2011
650ml bottle pours amber in color with a creamy lasting white head which leaves some fine lacing behind. Light toasted malty aroma. Taste is malty sweet balanced with a nice hoppy bitterness. Nice carbonation and a medium body presented a pleasing mouthfeel. A pleasant tasting ale with much to be desired. burg326 (5596) - Florida, USA - MAY 1, 2012
22 ounce bottle purchased from LetsPour, poured a dark amber color with aromas of malt, bread, some molasses, and some caramel. Flavors are the same, decent beer overall. BrewDad (5328) - Olympia, Washington, USA - JUN 13, 2013
Amber in color, clear with a thin head. Nice beer with tons of malt forward flavors. I was hoping for more balance with the hops. Not bad needs more Hops.
