Cloudy yellow pour. Aroma lacto, lemons, slight butter. Tastes buttery lemoney, corriander, huskiness, brine, light palate. Watery but sticky. Not clean enough finish. after4ever (8025) - Mukilteo, Washington, USA - AUG 13, 2014
Draft at Fiddler’s. So cool to see goses popping up all over the place these days. Even a fairly small operation like NWP steps up with one now--and it wasn’t that long ago that this was a very tough style to come by in the states. Awesome sign of health for the industry. Pours a cloudy medium amber with very little head, if any. Tangy sweet nose, a little bit of salt, a little bit of lemon, maybe a hint of vinegary note in the background. Creamy medium body with very little carb. Some light caramel, some lemon, a little bit of salty marine tang. Crisp tangy finish. Very refreshing. UPDATED: AUG 1, 2014 Tap at Fiddlers. Very light pour, slightly cloudy, into a small snifter (strange way to drink a gose). Very mild sourness and not particularly salty, gently sweet. None of the vomit that characterizes a true gose. In the end this is an inoffensive and entirely drinkable gose if rather unlike the real thing at the source in Leipzig.
