Draft, at Northwoods. Yes, it is a light amber. Malt shows a hint a caramel roast, and we start getting into more noticeable hops. A clean finish, more like a “red” ale.
Sampled from the tap at the brewpub. Pours a clear amber with a copper hue and a white head that dissipates to the edges. Aroma has caramel and sweet bread notes. Flavor has a stale bread note with some caramel and sweet grains growing. Dfonorow (2216) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - NOV 27, 2014
On tap @ Beer Camp - Chicago. Pour is light chestnut with a medium white head. Aroma and flavor of strong caramel, wheat grain, nuts, and honey. Nero55 (935) - Wisconsin, USA - OCT 13, 2014
Draft. Deep copper/amber with medium head. Aroma of stale malt/hay and light caramel. Medium body, moderate hop bitterness, malt, and a bitter finish. eworkman1 (50) - - JUN 5, 2014
Caramel malt on the nose. Not too much of anything but a nice malt profile that fits the style. chicagobears (469) - Elk Grove Village, Illinois, USA - JAN 17, 2014
Pretty nice looking amber. Some toffee and caramel in the nose. Salted caramel, cereal, hay, a bit of honey in the flavor. A nice balance of wheat and caramel sweetness.

very interesting aroma. something about it feels synthetic. Maybe thats the crappy part the title speaks of? don’t mind the graphic design yet I think the fish could have more character. As a viewer I want more. I can’t help but feel this fish is as charmless as the title. I wish the label had invited me, the participant, to guzzle the labors of the quirky brewers. I can’t get this aroma out of my nose. Strange juxtaposition from the relatively muted taste. Perhaps that is the strategy of the brewer? To cloud and overwhelm the nose and sneak in the taste. Taste. I taste fruits, tart fruits. My girlfriend keeps saying this beer taste weird. . bytemesis (8226) - Sunnyvale, California, USA - OCT 7, 2013
