UPDATED: JAN 12, 2009 Touch down in Leuven, 13 min the other way from the airport. Lovely city, I suggest to spend the time to go here. From tap at the brewpub. Pours clear and golden deep orange with a dense off-white head. Light yeasty and malty aroma. Mild bubblegum estery flavoured with a mil roasted caramel malt light bodied and mild yeas fruity, towards faint and watery. Ends mild yeasty.

Tap at Domus. Copper color, thin white head, great lacing. Aroma of caramel candy and malt. Taste is bittersweet and sharp. Unremarkable and a bit odd.

(On tap) Leuven - home of mighty InBev - also has this fine brewpub Domus , that few ratebeerians seem to have visited.
Amber coloured beer with a malty nose. Low carbonation, small head. Slightly smoked notes. Very smooth and pleasant, not much bitterness but a discreet, sweet finish. 180501

Tap @ the brewpub, Leuven. Pours clear amber with a small, creamy, white film head. Aroma has sweet sugars, caramel, light floral. Low carbonation, light creamy mouthfeel. Flavour is sweet, lots of Belgian sugar, light caramel, not much bitterness. Blah.

gnoff (10713) - Göteborg, SWEDEN - SEP 25, 2010
Draught at the brewpub, on September 22, 2010
Clear light brown or dark copper color, fairly big and fairly lasting yellow head. Spicy, fresh, sweet, herbal, slightly phenolic taste. Medium mouthfeel, medium low bitterness. Sweet phenolic scent.

77ships (10683) - Antwerpen, BELGIUM - MAY 24, 2015
Sampled draft @ brewpub. Descriped as an amber pilsner by the server. Light amber, creamy off-white head. Nose is like caramel extract, plain dull caramel, thin with light spices,… Taste is metallic with cooked apple, reminiscent of caramel extracts, light spices,… Thin, metallic, boring, bland. Meh.

KyotoLefty (10538) - Kyoto, JAPAN - SEP 4, 2010
Draught at the brewery. Orange-brown color, very cloudy, with a fine, thich head. Spicy aroma with citrus and other fruits. Malty, tart falvor, chocolate, cloves and spices. Interesting, and I cannot really place the style. Seems to have wheat in it. Good but not perfect—a bit weird. Tart, chocolaty finish with light bitterness.

JorisPPattyn (10061) - BELGIUM - MAY 6, 2004
(draught) Thick, good amber head, collapsing; quite effervescent, dark-amber beer. Sweet nose, with faint sourish, grapey, whiff of Brett and heaps of caramel - like a Belle-Vue gueuze or Jack-Op. Dry cookie/caramel taste; hint of hoppiness. Falls dead. Dry initial mouthfeel is followed by a sticky sensation, sweeter. The initial nose promessed more -especially with the dry start. After that however... This beer is very similar to the Watneys red for Italy.
