Pours out looking like a typical stout. Nice frothy tan head. Light roasty aromas. Mouthfeel is surprisingly thin and somewhat fizzy. Lots of roasty malts though. This one is what it says it is. Bottle shared by jslot38: pours a slightly transparent dark mahogany with a stringy-lacing off-white head. Has a lightly sweet toasty dark malty nose with some mild roast and dark chocolate. Better than most dunkels but I feel like that means it isn’t a dunkel. Light roast and some lightly soured malt, dunkel styke. Pours black with decent head. Average carbonation. Toasty coffee malt and singed hops aroma. Odd lactic undertone, wait till it warms if that’s not really apparent. Dark cola brown. The texture is kind of cola like too - nice and crisp and sometimes gritty, yet mellow as a whole. Bittersweet coffee taste.
