Can pour into nonic pint glass from Andover Liquors. Appearance is hazy orange with yellow and green tinges, minimal sparkle, small white fizzy head with poor retention and no lacing. Aroma is strong orange, mangoes, grapefruit, pine. Taste is sweet tropical and citrus fruits, mild late earthy bitterness. Palate is light bodied with thin texture, lively carbonation and sweet over bitter finish. Overall, nice juicy flavors and taste/aroma strong for a session. Good job.

Pours a nice robust amber from a tap. Crisp grapefruit aroma unfortunately washes away in the mouth, replaced by a typical session watery muddle. Good beer to start with at least.

Poured into a becher pint glass, the appearance was a semi-golden transparent yellow to bronze color. Light carbonation runs up to fill a one finger white foamy head. Dissipates at a nice pace. Messy foamy lace. The aroma starts off with a big bittersweet blend of grapefruit, orange zest and juicy pulp. Low use of malts. The flavor yields to the sweet side initially and then as it warms blends the bitter portion of the citrus rind in with a light pine. Moveable sweet to bitter citrus and piney aftertaste flowing into the finish. On the palate, this one sat about a light on the body exacting its appropriate crushability. Bitterness is there but doesnt distract from the flow on my tongue. Overall, my first beer from Notch and theyre brewing a beer worth crushing on a hot Summers day.

Tap at Renaissance in Foxboro. Clear gold pour. White dense head. Mild citrus hops. Juicy sweet taste but not too sweet. Very easy drinking. Yum.

Can. Pours a clear light orange with a thick white head. Aroma of citrus, caramel malt, bitter hops. Flavor of light fruits, citrus, grapefruit, bitter finish. Light, not super hoppy, but drinkable. Decent session but nothing special. 6/4/7/4/14 (3.5/5)

Can at home, unfortunately more than a year old. Aroma is fruity hops, tropical fruits, citrus, grapefruit, some piney notes and a soft touch of pale malt. Flavour is light sweet and medium bitter. Body is light to medium. Despite the oldness the hoppiness has been surprisingly conserved. Note: Must try a fresher sample some day.

Draught and cans since debut, most recently at Middle East Upstairs on 5/11/16.
Deep copper-golden beer is clear with a big white head showing modest retention.
Light pine, caramel, sourdough and grapefruit show a pretty straightforward, west coast IPA but the aromatics are strong for its size. Clean, with some grassiness and pepperiness.
Moderately sweet, with caramel, pine and grapefruit all mirroring the aroma. Gets almost too bitter but then relents, leaving honey in its place to slowly return to balance. Brief interludes of juicy pineapple but mostly lots of grapefruit, grass and pepper. Strong carbonation with a malty texture and no alcohol or flaw. Quite intense for its size.

Can in a shaker. Pours golden with a white head. Aroma of lightly citrusy and resinous hops with some pale malts and dough. Flavor the same. Average texture. A pretty standard session IPA.
