COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Our Session Pils salutes the unfiltered Pilsners of the Czech Republic: crisp, herbal with a biscuity depth and balanced hop finish. The Czech culture is a beer culture - drinking more beer per capita than any other nation. And their beer of choice is the low gravity, unfiltered and unpasteurized Pilsner, known as "workers" or "tap" beer. In the end, Czech Pilsner serves the same function as Brit Session Beer - lower ABV, great flavor, and built for multiple pints.

12 oz bottle from a 6-pack from the cooler from Julios. not sure if this has a date on it? So I suppose it could have been a few months old. Still I wasn’t impressed with this. Pours a mostly clear deep golden almost a light copper in the large mug. Initial good foam when poured hard- but head fades eventually- and overall carbonation seemed a bit low. Aroma has a medium DMS- especially when cold, then eases up a bit and gives way to a touch of fruitiness, light grassy hops, mostly a dull toasty maltiness, and slight cara, but low on the fresh bready crisp pils malts. Flavor is cracker, light dull toast, slight sweetness, mild oxidation and mild DMS with hints of fruitiness, seemed a bit old- not crisp, fresh and snappy or hoppy as expected. Easy drinking- has some slight potential so I may try again if super fresh on tap.

Can shared by Jeff, thanks. Gold color. Light bitterness and malt flavor Good malt but lacks a hop profile that a good pilsner needs. Soft, smooth palate.

Can. Pours golden with just a touch of hazy and a big foamy white head - a beaut. Nose is mildly citrus with some hay-like background malt notes - these hops seem like US hops tho, so a bit off-style. Flavor is pretty outstanding - they really capture the soft malt textures - they figured out exactly the right water ph for pilsen is my guess. Finishes with just a touch of palate clearing fruity bitterness. Very good for an American interpretation of a difficult style.

Bukowski, Boston tap: poura gold with a white head. Aroma is grainy and lightly hoppy. Taste is lightly bitter. Not exactly watery. Very slightly sweet. Does work as a czech pils. Pretty good.

12oz can poured into Czech "holba" mug. Born on date reads "7/23/15" Aroma - Hops are prominent on the nose. Grass, lemon, herbal. Faint yeast notes. Great intro. Appearance - Aggressive pour produces a thick, frothy, white head. Beautiful golden hue. Spotty lacing. Taste - Crisp, clean, and bright. Pale, semi-sweet malt meets lemon/ herbal hops. Well balanced, with the hops stealing a bit more of the show. Finishes bones dry with lingering yeast/ hop resin (perhaps some sulfur?). Palate - Creamy, light-medium bodied. Overall - Having just returned from Prague, I’d say this one holds up remarkably well with its Czech counterparts. The slightly more assertive, resiny hop character brings an American touch.
