One of the better Doppelbock available. Nice Dark color. Roasty aroma and a very balanced Taste

Dunkelbraunes Bier mit schöner Schaumkrone. Geruch sehr röstmalzig süß, Schokolade. Geschmack sehr intensiv röstmalzig, schokoladig.

0.5 l bottle, thanks Timo A! Dark reddish brown color. Sweet aroma with toffee, raisins, almonds and licorice. Sweet bready and raisiny taste with toffee, licorice and warming alcohol. Good balanced dobbelbock with basic elements in place.

Mariusz (12080) - Baden-Baden, GERMANY - SEP 3, 2012
Bottle. Dark brown color, tan head. Aroma of subtle brown bread. Sweet. O.K.

3.4
pivnizub (10813) - Bochum, Porř, GERMANY - SEP 2, 2011
Bottle: Deep ruby-amber coloured, smaller - relatively stable - fluffy off-white head; moderate sweet caramelly and toasty nose; moderate to solid sweet and slightly bitter flavour, medium to full bodied; a touch of alcohol in the sweet caramelly and milk-chocolatey finish, followed by a slight bitterness. Quite good, but not superb.....

Koelschtrinker (21492) - K?ln (Cologne), GERMANY - MAY 8, 2011
11/10/9/9/9/9

3.3
MoritzF (10095) - Ottobrunn, GERMANY - NOV 25, 2010
(bottle) Clear, dark brown colour with a ruby shine and a beige and firm mid-sized foamy head. Sweet roast-malty aroma with notes of bread crusts, caramel and a tinge of molasses. Sweet and slightly bitter flavour, medium to full bodied with a moderate carbonation. Roasty malty and slightly molassy taste with caramel and shades of bittering hops towards the otherwise malt-accented and roasty finish with traces of metal. Not too sweet thus likeable DB, all in all decent. 21.XI.10

Schroppfy (2362) - Łódż, Warsaw, Poland; Michigan, Ohio, USA - NOV 25, 2010
Nothing special, a nice fresh, not too sweet dopple. Many of the usual components; iron, molasses and a touch of noble hop spice (pepper and nutmeg, flowers). OK. Alcohol handled well.

2.9
kappldav123 (6133) - GERMANY - DEC 17, 2008
The bottle looks good, but very much like the Antonius Starkbier Hell. Starts malty and strong, notes of plum. Finish a bit sourish. An average beer.

3.5
motelpogo (8031) - Plzen, CZECH REPUBLIC - OCT 14, 2007
bottled. rye, cocoa and juniper aroma. not very sweet by doppelbock standards, some mulberry, light cocoa powder and some porridge. not bad for the style
