COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Albrecht Wenceslas Eusebius of Wallenstein came from an impecunious branch of the feudal family of Wallenstein. During the Czech uprising, he deserted to the service of the Habsburg family under scandalous circumstances and thereby he earned the highest rewards. The Emperor granted him the title of Duke of Frydlant and authorized him to be the commander-in-chief of his army. Albrecht of Wallenstein greatly contributed to the development of the region of East Bohemia. We named the pale speciality after him. Thanks to its taste distribution, it will surely satisfy the fans of strong, quite bitter beer with good foam; alcohol 7%.

10-Oct-16 (12-oz bottle: Hollingshead Deli in Orange, CA)
This Bock is golden amber in color and capped by a bubbly, off-white head that settles to a thin ring. As expected, the nose is sweet and malty with a touch of caramel, some grassiness, and a bit of creamed corn. On the palate, the malt base is corny, medium-sweet, and lightly caramely, but also unexpectedly smoky--just a touch, but enough that is stands out. Not a lot of hops here, but it’s mildly grassy with minimal bitterness. Body is medium-plus, carbonation is light-medium, and though sweet, it’s not cloying. Overall, this is fine, but below average compared to other Bocks.
