COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
American Brown Ale

Aug. ’15. On tap at Hmeljevo festival, Split. This one turned out to be a hard nut to find, at least before. It poured a hazy brown body with tiny head atop. Pleasantly roasted malt with decent amount of hops in aroma. Coffee and herbal basically. Lightly bitter flavor, orange (citrus) hops and roasted coffee, caramel and dark fruit malt. Medium to thin in body with not so long finish, but very smooth and balanced. Dark chocolate picked up in the aftertaste. I would prefer more body, but it’s a fine hoppy brown ale anyway.

Keg at Craft Room, Zagreb. Hazy nut brown, creamy head. Peach and citrus up front. Mid sweet with medium body and clean, rounded mouthfeel. Caramel and toast, tropical fruiys lead to a really bitter finish. Solid.

Tap at Salon piva. Slightly lacking carbonation which makes it seem slightly stale, but otherwise shows promise, quite fine beer.

On tap. Pale dark color, clear liquid, white head. Smell of coffee and manure, not very pleasant. Aroma is better, coffee, pine, citrus, like session black IPA (if something like that exists). Above average.

UPDATED: NOV 6, 2017 Dark brown colored, beige creamy medium head, good lacing and decent lasting. Aroma is of caramel, roasted malt, bitter chocolate and lots of citrus and floral hoppiness. Taste is medium sweet caramel and roasted malt, toasty, bitter chocolate, citrus and floral medium+ hoppy aroma, very bitter, dry finish. Medium bodied, soft+ carbonation. Good stuff but there’s a second of sharp bitterness or harshness which makes me prefer the APA. (on tap, Ro&Do, Zagreb)
