Gentle roasty aroma. Rich red. Lovely husky roasted taste. Medium palate, pleasant carbonation. A light easy drinker. Good for 3.5%.
Old notes. Tap at the brewpub. Unfiltered. Aroma of chocolate or cocoa. Flavors of chocolate, with a little bit of earth and some grassy hops. Good malt character. It is reminiscent of some of the dark Keller beers from Franconia. Finishes dry. It is not very hoppy, but it has a really dry, earthy taste. It is really nice, not sweet, but it is chocolatey.
