Nice black colour, very black, lots of head. Very nice! Aroma of barley, swampwater, alcohol, unsweetened chocolate. Taste is lots of burnt barley, coffee. Overroasted in my opinion but drinkable. jaghana (6220) - Strasbourg (Alsace), FRANCE - AUG 13, 2010
Bottle 33cl. A brown ale with nice head. Smell is mostly on black chocolate. Aroma is very nice on brown malt, roasted notes, chocolate and coffee with huge licorice note at the finish. Quite dry, not too alcoholic, a very easy drinking beer, very good, well done. harrisoni (19155) - Ashford, Kent, ENGLAND - JUL 18, 2010

Bottled. Very deep brown, close to black with mediumsized foamy/fluffy head. Aroma is liquorice, some mild old coffeelike sourness as well as some slight grassy and floral notes. Flavour is roasted malts, liquorice, coffee, ashes and some caramel/toffeelike notes. Actually a very pleasant Stout.

Bottle shared by Pinball. The beer is black with a somewhat bubbly fluffy tan head. The aroma is mainly roasted malt with some liqourice and bitter coffee. The flavour is roasty and contains notes of coffee, light chocolate and liqourice. Too bad its overcarbonated. fiulijn (21022) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - FEB 17, 2010
From l’Epicerie, Le Bon Marché, Paris
Black color; large head, stiff. Light aroma of cardboard, roasted malt. Medium body structure, there is a strong flavor of roasted malt, possibly dusty, with a late and light liquorice touch; very light sourness from the black malts; dry finish. Balanced.
Nordic style; not my favorite, but not bad..
