Bottle. I like dunkel, but this one is not from the favourites. Easy drinking, but not so special.

500ml bottle (S Market, Helsinki)
With the sweetness of the roast, the unfortunate apple aroma comes over as cinnamon apple. Touch watery palate. More green apple there too. Decent rich dark roast, a bit of burnt toast. Metallic as you swallow. Very drying finish, dusty and dirty. Some slight fattiness in the finish. You can’t shake the apple alas, that’s a flaw. Papery later. Some good points, but some negatives too.

Tap at Starosloviensky pivovar. Aroma is a bit mild. Caramel and roasted. Colour is clear dark ruby-brown. Head beige and stable. Taste is nicely balanced caramel malty with roasted bitterness and light coffee. Finish is bitter with roasted flavour. Medium duration. Higher drinkability. Nice session beer.

0.5 can. Dark brown color with a definitive crimson tinge. Small brownish head, disperses quickly and leaves no lacing whatsoever. Aroma of sweet malts, some toast, dark fruits and delicate flowery notes in the background. Very sweet taste, malty but not definitively, a little dark fruits again, somewhat dull. Light body, creamy texture and basically flat carbonation. Finish is medium long, sweet, more fruity than the rest. Overall an undemanding and simple beer, quite good considering the price.

Best before 31.10.2012, opened 17.4.2013. Dark, cola brown beer with an off white head. Very mild aroma, roastiness and sweet malts. Quite soft and creamy but watery mouth feel. Some sweetness and a hint of bread in the taste. Wow, how bland can a beer this dark be? This is so dull and boring that I’m thinking about pouring this down the sink. Not particularly bad but I don’t have any reasons to buy this again. Many pale lagers are more interesting than this one.
