Over the palate light toasted malty notes. Light to medium bodied with an average carbonation. Moderated sweet flavor with light bitterness. Malty sweet bread and caramel finish.

Test vom 12.4.2010, Gebinde: Glasflasche Noten: 10,9,9,9,9,9 - 9,10

UPDATED: DEC 9, 2014 Can. 4.5%. Best before 23.07.15. As ’Nymburk Beer Dark’. Pours a clear, deep copper/chestnut/brown with a diminishing light tan/beige head. No lacing. Sweet aroma with a distinct yoghurt note at first. As it warms, the yoghurt note subsides (though not disappearing completely) and gives way to a malt/molasses note with just a hint of smoke. Flavour is malt/molasses and a bit smoked as well, the latter increasing in the finish. Finish is a bit dry as well, with malt/molasses, and ending in a slightly tart and mildly bitter note. Overall okay. 10.12.14.

Can. Pours a clear dark ruby/brown with a beige head. Good lacing. Sweetish, malty aroma; molasses as it warms, and further warming brings out a wee bit of dark fruits. Slightly tart, sweet malty flavour; almost roasted as it warms. A bit of cardboard. Sweet, molasses finish with a metallic note, a faint roasted note and a lingering tartness. Nothing special, but acceptable. 10.08.12.
