Svesse (8613) - Hässelby, SWEDEN - JUN 24, 2007
(Draught at Oliver Twist, Stockholm) Dark amber colour with brief, white head. Fruity, yeasty nose with notes of orange, grapefruit, apricots and earthy hops. Fruity, slightly yeasty taste with grapefruit, orange peel, dried fruit and loads of earthy hops in the finish. The slightly yeasty hints and the earthy hops remind me of Harveys Sussex Best Bitter, but this one feels a bit more consistent. Really great bitter.

JCapriotti (1379) - Milwaukee, Wisconsin, USA - JUN 8, 2007
Slightly hazed amber body, sparse head. Flowery "tearless" / Johnson & Johnson shampoo citrus adjunct in the aroma; fairly light. Flavor follows; a nice bitter with a hint of earthy sweetness.

Ethereal (2421) - Los Angeles, California, USA - JUN 3, 2007
UPDATED: JUL 2, 2009 Draught pint at the Bishop’s Arms, Malmo. Pours a nice copper colour with a good head. Excellent flowery aroma with fruit and citrus notes. Strong flowery hoppy taste and a decent finish. Highly drinkable. Re-rate, 18th May 09, same place. (original rate: 8/4/7/3/14)

(Rerate Helsinki Beer Festival 2007, Helsinki).
Exceptionaly bitter taste, but lacking a matching aroma. A little bready in the mouth, almost underfermented. Sweetness and bitterness prevail, not a bad finish.

thebaldwizard (1207) - Ohio, USA - APR 20, 2007
Bottle from Marsiblursi--thanks! Nice floral hop aroma. Golden brown body. Medium palate. Very bitter (suprising for an ESB). Tea flavors, lots of tea tastes for sure. Very bitter aftertaste--interesting brew.

thebeertourist (5189) - Oslo, NORWAY - APR 19, 2007
Bottle. Clear amber with a big offwhite head. Quite complex aroma, starting at with grapefruit hops, then becoming more grassy, but with hints of berries as well. Flavours remain very bitter, but with excellent offsetting berries. A great beer, living up to its name.

Ingevara (910) - SWEDEN - APR 3, 2007
Dark orange. Medium head. Not so many bubbles. Like a flat lager spiced with stale belgian ale. Slightly acidy and fruity. Not really my cup of ale...

hopscotch (11161) - Vero Beach, Florida, USA - FEB 13, 2007
Bottle... Clear, orange-golden ale with a mid-sized, frothy, white head. Excellent retention. Earthy, fruity nose with notes of honeydew, grapefruit, dried pine needles and a hint of clove. Solid caramel malt flavor with more hop bitterness than the style usually dictates... Americanized, I think. Medium-bodied with a skim milk mouthfeel and pillow-soft carbonation. Lengthy, balanced, Novocaine-like, tongue-numbing finish. Excellent bitter! Cheers to marsiblursi for providing the bottle!
