Bottle, pours amber with small head. Aroma is bread, nuts, caramel. Taste is as aroma but some dark fruits also. Low carbon. Good and interesting, perfect on a gothemburg-shitweather day like this. Dazz3 (1798) - Hallsberg, SWEDEN - DEC 10, 2011
25cl bottle. Pours hazy copper with a small light brown head. Smells very nutty malty. Tastes sweet nutty malty with a similar finish. ogivlado (7866) - Zagreb, CROATIA - DEC 9, 2011
Bottled 500ml. -Courtesy of Marko, shared with him & heavy (thanks!) Reddish/pale brown coloured, small off-white head, sticky light alcoholic nose. Sweet malty, alcoholic and overripe fruits with notes of caramel. Very dry bitter finish. Nice one. jookos (6875) - FINLAND - NOV 29, 2011
2009 edition. Brown with some sediment. Dark, aged aromas, Port/sherry like oxidation. Ripe, dried fruit, plums, figs, sweet maltyness. Taste follows the nose. Fullish body, pretty long finish. More madeira-like than the barley wines I know. A strong figs presence. Nice acquaintance, well made, but one is plenty for me. Marko (5758) - Split / Zagreb, CROATIA - NOV 25, 2011
Another one of Per’s "mints on the pillow" :D. Shared with ogivlado and heavy... and it almost wasn’t... It was one of the beers I took to drink during the seminar (mostly to share with the infidels/newbies to draw them to our side), and it was in and out of the fridge, surviving a party only because we were thrown out of the room we were in and I figured that rating it outside in the dark would be heresy. So it went all the way back to Sweden, through Hungary to Croatia. Not a journey as epic as Bergenbier Nefiltrata’s, but still cool. And I’m damn glad I shared it with the Croatian crew! Anyway, poured a murky dark amber-brown body with a small off whtie head. Sweet malty nose, overwhelming? hm. Coffee, sticky caramel, some dust. Sweet, creamy honeyish taste, neither too aggressive nor cloying, only slightly sticky. The only trace of alcohol is the warmth in the end. Not terribly complex but a damn solid beer, and a Barleywine I actually like, which is always a thing of joy and wonder heh. Nynäshamns is more than capable of brewing very good even great beer, so no wonder! And yeah, another thanks to our own omhper :).

pours reddish brown with low head
aromas are oaky, a bit smoky, some sweetness and breadyness. overall dark tones.
oaky flavor. not the typical sweeeeet barley. lowly carbonated. fills mouth and has an ok mildy bitter ending. beerisgoodforu (992) - Nørresundby, DENMARK - NOV 12, 2011
09 Bottle. Pours a nice copper/dark reddish color with a beige head. Aroma is filled with dark fruits like raisins and figs, some alcohol notes, brown sugar, caramel malts and toffee notes. The flavor has a fairly apparent alcohol flavor with the caramel and toffee, brown sugar, dark fruits like the raisins and figs and butterscotch like notes. The body is medium to full with a dry motuhfeel. Overall a solid English style Barley. Aniela (4216) - Göteborg, SWEDEN - NOV 10, 2011
From a 25 cl bottle at home in Skövde. 2009 years edition. Red brown, a bit hazy with a white head. Malty aroma, figs and some caramell. Sweet flavor with fruits and malt.
Bra balanserade smaker. VsXsV (4470) - Stockholm, SWEDEN - NOV 5, 2011
250 ml bottle from Systembolaget. Dark amber, hazy, muddy liquid with small, thick off-white head. Aroma of caramel, fruits (figs etc), sweet malt, toffee, port, nuts, and maybe a little chocolate. Taste is also malty with lots of bready, biscuity and nutty notes. Light to medium sweet, medium bitter and very nicely balanced. Some booze but nothing too aggressive. Expected at this ABV. Medium to full bodied with soft carbonation. Nice one, warming and perfect this time of year. Very well balanced.
