Note: Unaged, nameless version pre-released in september 2007. Officially released as Bötet Barley Wine in september 2008.

McTapps (6889) - Reutlingen, GERMANY - SEP 10, 2013
Pours out in a deep dark amber / brown colour with steady low head and smooth body. Delicious nose of plums and raisins. Taste of raisins, rum, cask, oak, plums, sour berries and nuts. Hints of thin coffee and chocolate. Light sour touch, but deeply enjoyable and nice. Enjoyed it a lot, though I missed some body and deepness.

Bottle from balderbitch - thank you a lot. Strong one for sure but with not a big hint of alcohol at all. Nice, really fruity and quite filled with plums and raisins. Definitely a great one for the colder autmun evenings. Superb piwo with superb aromas.

250 ml bottle at home. Thanks again to astropjutet and deflagro for offering this bottle. Pours murky amber with a tiny soapy head. Aroma of madeira, almonfs, earthy notes, plums and honey. Evolved, so much is clear. Medium body with sweet malty undertone, slight sourness and slight bitterness towards the end. Taste is very raw and earthy, nuts and bits of orange peel. So and so.

ansalon (3844) - Stockholm, SWEDEN, SWEDEN - AUG 21, 2013
2011 edition, bottle at home. Pours cloudy amber with a medium off-white head. Aroma is caramel, raisins, figs, muscovado sugar, caramellized apples. Taste is caramel, figs, raisins, ripe apples, muscovado sugar, burnt sugar. Mouthfeel is just slightly too thin, otherwise a very fine Barley Wine that’s aged well.

Marstonlad (885) - Helsinki, FINLAND - JUN 12, 2013
Bottle at Bryggeri Helsinki. Hazy brown color, very little head. A rich aroma of sweet, ripe fruitiness, syrup, toffee and spices - very intriguing. Taste is just the kind I expect from a good Barley Wine: rich in both malts and hops, very sweet, strong, fruity and spicy. Full body and nearly flat carbonation. This was an excellent beer that has to be enjoyed slowly.

BartC (727) - Lichtaart, BELGIUM - MAY 1, 2013
Amber to red colored beer. Nose of oxydation, lots of fruits and some alcohol. Fruity flavors but also port and madeira from the oxydation. Complex and well balanced beer.

Bottle 25cl 2010. Pours dark amber with a small beige head. Massive aroma of dates, raisins, port, honey and some alcohol. Sweet taste of dried fruits, figs, root cellar, earth and ripe apples. Medium/full body, low carbonation, low bitterness. Very nice when matured for a few years!
