Clear medium to dark orange red amber color with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white to beige head. Aroma is moderate malty, caramel, spicy, fruity, figs. Flavor is moderate to light heavy sweet and bitter with a long to average duration. Body is medium, texture is oily to syrupy, carbonation is soft, finish feel is light alcoholic.

Bottled. Pours clear and golden orange with a fully gone head. Aroma is dense hoppy with a solid barley malt note. Malty base with quite a dominant hoppy base. Smooth and light bitter finish. Quite nicely balanced.

Cask at Stockholm Beer Festival 2007. hazy amber beer with a thin orangey head. The aroma is sweet malty with strong notes of fruit - especially appricots, but also notes of caramel. The flavor is sweet malty with notes of alcohol, fruit, and caramel, leading to a very dry and grassy finish.

Cloudy orange coloured with a small off white head.
Fruity aroma of caramel and spices with notes of overriped fruits and yeast.
Sweet and fruity flavour of caramel and yeast with notes of hops.

UPDATED: SEP 28, 2008 Draught@SBWF2007. Murky amberish brown colour, mediumsized white head. Aroma is malts, raisins, alcohol and really nice Barley Wineish. Flavour is malts, alcohol, caramel and fruity hops. Good already now, but really looking forward to try it again at some point when it’s been aged a bit. 8 4 8 4 16
Draught@SBWF2008. Reddish amber colour, small white head. Aroma is mild alcohol, wood, some raisins and caramel malts. Flavour is sweet malts, raisins and mild fruityness. More wellbalanced than in 2007, and also cleaner. 8 4 8 4 16.

(On tap) Pours an almost clear amber golden with a small, creamy off-white head. Aroma of caramel and overripe fruit, aroma hops and alcohol. Quite full-bodied with sweetish caramel and fruity aroma hops. Some bitterness in the finish. 190908

Draft @ Bishops Arms, Malmö. Pours a deep amber color with a longlasting creamy off-white head. Has a malty fruity dark fruit aroma with some hoppy hints. Fruity malty hoppy bitter dark fruit flavor with some hints of caramel. Has a fruity malty hoppy bitter aftertaste with some hints of dark fruit.

UPDATED: DEC 25, 2007 Cask at Stockholm Beer Festival. Hazy reddish brown. Striking aroma of grapefruit and caramel. Sweet, still a bit immature, very hoppy. Resiny and flowery with caramel underneath. Long salty bitter finish. Has loads of potential.

Clear deep amber beer. Light off white frothy head. Rich malt nose. Semi soft and semi dry palate. Rich toffee malt, slightly creamy. Just a little fruity hop peeping through at the end. Fairly simple but sumptuous and well joined up.

Bottle at Bishop’s Arms Folkungagatan. Cloudy reddish brown, large bubbly edge head. Aroma of caramel and toffee. Taste is sweet butterscotch. Not bad as barley wines go.
